Now, compound exercises work mutiple muscles and groups at once. This means they grow stronger together.
Now, compound exercises are important because they promote the release of testosterone due to the high weights used in many compound movements.
For example: Bench pressing and squatting releases tons of testosterone.

Multiple Compounds
There are literally tons of compound exercises. You just have to decide if you want major muscles groups or not.
Larger (also more technical) lifts include: Hang Clean, Clean & Press, snatch, clean & jerk.
But pull downs, benching, squats (front & back), etc can also be used as well.
