So I just discovered...
The wonderful thing that is Xanthan Gum...
And let me tell you, it is Amazing
Put a tablespoon in my shake and it literally was like a giant glob of deliciousness.

Does anyone else use this in anything else? Any recipes?

Hmm, its like 8g of carbs for a tbspn, So I dont really care haha.

My stomach isn't doing so hot right now.

Lol, sorry, I didn't mean for it to come across as a 'competition' just saying, that's actually NOT a thick shake. I mean it's still dripping from the spoon.
Don't you find xanthan disgusting? It gives a horrible texture imo. Realllllly gummy.

Guar gum is also a thickener, isn't it? I learned the bloating issue with psyllium husk when I found it made a super thickener for some stuff. 4+ hours later and I wanted to cut my stomach open.

Yea, stuff was reddi whip thick.
I still use like 1/8 tsp of xanthan for my shakes.
