Itchy skin?
Ok, so one of my girls was asking me yesterday about why her thighs, glutes, etc. have become really itchy since she has started losing weight. When she brought it up, itr made me realize that I have experienced this as well. Anyone have a clue as to what could be causing this?! Change in circulation perhaps?

Are you sure it just isn't dry skin? In the winter when it's as cold as it has been my furnance and fireplace have been cranked up high and it's drier than a witch's crack around here and I"ve found my skin is really dry.

OK SO ITS NOT JUST ME, YEA! Its not like its on the surface like dry skin, its like its deep like my muscles itch. I know that sounds weird but its the only way I know to describe it. So very strange...

Ah.... skin issues. I am unfortunately all too familiar!
If your friend's skin is so dry as to keep her awake, change to 100% halal (sort of the Islamic equivalent of kosher) olive oil soap. No weird other chemicals!
Try minimizing the use of soap on unnecessary areas, or in other words keep the soaping in the body's canyons and valleys and off the plains and mountains.
Exfoliate more... mix a 50%/50% of baking soda and honey and use as a all over body scrub in the shower. The honey has antibacterial properties and is water soluble. The baking soda lifts dead skin, oils, dirt, and counteracts odors. Do not mix in advance or the mixture kinda of goes wonky.
And finally, if all else fails, see a dermatologist. You may have a condition similar to mine that makes my gluts and shoulders itch incessantly, and unfortunately, is genetic & incurable.

Ive got the same problem with my legs mostly sometimes i can scratch till i bleed ive found the solution to be creaming yourself with something like E45 or cocoa butter or baby oil everyday.
Also washing with baby shower gel helps

Thanks for the replys guys! I cannot wait to try the honey and baking soda concoction! I love making my own bath salts and stuff like that! I sure hope this helps, it kinda freaks me out when it NEVER stops itching sometimes! Well off to the store to go get some honey!

I'm gonna subscribe to this thread. I have some nasty, dry, Death Valley desert skin. Suitable for lil ATV's and dirtbikes to ride around on the surface of my skin. So sick.
It's mostly my shins/calf area that's been pretty damn itchy (but I'm thinking it's more from the cold weather).
