Most people here don't have a problem with the Paleo diet per se. Our issue is with their reasoning behind it. Some people have health issues that makes the Paleo diet fit their lifestyle and that is fine. Even then, I don't think there is any reason to go full Paleo since it is based on faulty logic and strong assumptions. I think it is better to just cut the things out of your diet that your allergic to and keep the rest. If it happens to be similar to Paleo then that is perfectly fine. You can still have a healthy diet doing so.

I'd never heard of the Warrior Diet until here, but magazines still love the "no carbs after Xpm" that I see on shelves and random "diet tips" on magazines/websites. "Top 10 healthy foods", "Foods that will kill your diet", "Best foods for fat loss." I used to read tons of garbage like that on livestrong.com and other sites so I'm sure people still get there info from places like that and magazines. I'd never really heard about IF either, and thought people who skipped breakfast and ate larger meals later were setting themselves up for being fat.
I've got my head on right finally

I remember the Warrior Diet making its rounds through magazines and the bodybuilding community back in 2003 or 2004ish... peeps started talking about barley > brown rice (so they could be like the Roman Legionaires), limiting carbs/calories in the morning and eating most of their carbs at night. It was quite a rage among some circles of bros.

It's terrible, I used to follow Susie Burrell on twitter (not sure if you have heard of her, but fairly prominent Aussie nutritionist), had to stop cos she kept spouting stuff like this too, was too tempted to get drawn into a debate lol.. Someone smart like you (Emma) or AA needs to discuss their views with them, since they have the ability to potentially (mis)inform a lot of people.
Or we can all just hang out here and pretend the outside world doesn't existFKK - Elastic waisted jeans are fashionable too.

Yes. When some kid tells you he can't gain weight when lifting, tell him pour half a bottle of olive oil onto a large Pizza Hut pizza every night and after the oil soaks in, eat the entire thing for dinner, every night.
For someone having difficulty gaining weight because they are too much of a pussy to eat a couple dozen eggs a day, pouring some bacon grease onto everything they eat can help also.

I honestly want to cry now.
"Which type of fat is the kind that helps with energy and muscle growth? Normal fat? Saturated fat? Trans fat? "
Can we troll him and get him to eat insanely large amounts of non-ruminant trans fats?Start: 18/8/2011 = 145lbs
Current: 3/11/2011 = 160.05560234631lbs
I don't even lift, I just eat loads and pray it all turns into muscle

That PJ dude was a joke, going on to all the breakfast shows and promoting nothing but broscience weight loss tips etc. Said nothing that was fundamentally true or meaningful.www.bodyrecomposition.com + www.leangains.com + www.alanaragon.com + www.emma-leigh.com = profits.
