Yep, exactly what I meant. For non bodybuilding folk, it's fine. Better than doing nothing every day, and it would be good for endurance peeps.
What kind of endurance? My main goal is endurance - cycling, and maybe to improve running. If I want to improve either of those, I just cycle or run. When I want to maintain/gain strength, I would rather lift weights given the fact that it's more effective :x
I realize Crossfit is useful, but the amount of people that it's useful to is a really small number, and probably far smaller than the number of subscribers they have. But whatever gets people exercising is fine by me!
Also, I do find it funny that the record for one of their "tests" of strength (where you do a few exercises back to back - the King Kong, maybe?) was absolutely dominated by a bodybuilder.
Man tries to make for himself in the fashion that suits him best a simplified picture of the world; he then tries to substitute this cosmos of his for the world of experience, thus to overcome it. This is what the painter, the poet, the philosopher, and the scientist do, each in his own fashion. Each makes this cosmos and its construction the pivot of his emotional life, in order to find in this way the peace and security which he cannot find in the narrow whirlpool of personal experience.
