Misc i need your help bad. My face gets so ****ing oily after I wash it in the morning. I need some help from brahs who have the same problem. Makes me feel gross and my productivity goes way down. I wear glasses so they also keep slipping off my face. I try to keep wiping it with kleenex but it only works temporarily. Was thinking about oxy wipes but i dont know

got the same problem as u, even with the glasses slipping. Face gets oily after just an hour. The only thing i can think of is Accutane which is a very strong acne prescription. but it works by reducing the oil your glands produce. Im not sure if people get oily again after they stop using it though

Same here bro, my face gets super oily (no acne though, weird) so after being awake a few hours, my forehead is shiny as fuark.
Kinda sucks when I'm at work, I go to the bathroom twice a day just to wipe my forehead grease off."For monkeys to speak of truth is hubris of the highest degree. Disregard everything in this thread and get Niacin. I had same problem and after I started taking niacin my oil problems were gone (srs)
Get natures way 100mg niacin it's like 3$ cheap as fck and take 400-500mg every other day. (srs)
Ps: the flush that you get is perfectly normal it means your body is detoxifying and only works if your skin flushes. Goes away after an hour so take before bed

I don't have oily skin but I know Dial soap dries the **** out of my skin.
I've heard that stuff that dries your skin out actually makes it worse though.. may be broscience. Like I have heard people say stop washing your face for a while and it stops.ATP is like money in the bank.

There isn't much you can do to combat overactive sebum/oil production in the face.
For one, only wash your face with proper, either prescription or dedicated facial cleansers. Hand soap or harsh soaps strip too much of the natural oil off your face so your face produces more to make up for the dryness. Also, try using Kiehls "Blue Herbal Moisturizer" in the morning after washing. The moisturizer helps keep the face from being too dry, it has Salicylic Acid for acne treatment, and has some clay in it to keep the skin looking matted longer.
Even then, it doesn't take too long for the oil to come back. Basically I always carry around a paper towel or handkerchief in my pocket so I can duck away and dab my face to soak it up. I avoid kleenex because it doesn't soak up as much and can leave little bits of paper that clog the pores.
Sucks, but I've learned to live with it.

Do you use face wash? I stopped and instead just use cold water and wash my face well. All acne and oil problems are gone now. Initially your skin may get really oil and/or break out as your skin flushes everything out, but in the long run it's a lot better for you."If I was an NBA team I would sign Rudy Gay just so I could trade him and get better." - jross2021
