The container says take before, but I've always taken creatine after my workouts to help recovery. Will either way make a difference and if so, how so?
Thanks in advance!

they say to take it before because creatine helps to create a compound known as creatine phosphate in your cells. when you burn through ATP during a workout, creatine phosphate will donate a phosphorous group to ADP (created by removal of one phosphorous from ATP) in order to replenish your ATP stores. this helps you have more energy during your workout and can last longer. this is also the reason so many pre-workouts have creatine in them. it really doesn't matter when you take it but conventional use for creatine is after workouts to build muscle and before workouts for improved energy.

I have studied many creatines and used a lot of them on different times to see which works best... technically none of the times worked THE BEST. I personally take my creatine during my workout. The reasoning is the mind factor. I know taking creatine anytime will be benefical but just knowing that creatine dontes a phosphate group to ADP to produce ATP makes me want to take it during my workout. Also around my workout is when I drink a lot of my daily amount of water. So knowing all of that makes me want to take it during my workout, plus i noticed that the mentality of creatine during a workout pushes me a lot more knowing the factors involved. Overall i would say to take it when it is most convenient for you. Just make sure to take in enough water and stay consistent with it. You wont see gains right away, these supplements take time.
