I have a pinched nerve that I've been dealing with for months, I'm sick of not working out at all. It's a pain that runs from my neck down into my traps and left shoulder blade
So I don't want to put any heavy strain on my shoulders by doing say squats, and I don't want to do anything that works the shoulder blades like any upper body compound
Would it be worthwhile to just do arms, calves, and leg press? Would that cause anymore harm or slow down the healing? Would light face pulls be helpful, harmful, or neither?

honestly i say wait to see what the doc can do about it. whether physical therapy or a drug/steroid regimen or what ever. even when you curl the traps tend to "brace" to keep everything steady. any pressdowns or extensions would be the same way.
it could end up being a detriment to your healing. just my 2 cents. You would be surprised just how much time I have to waste.
