DE Squat
Squat
@ ~60%
275 x 2 (9 sets)
RDL
315 x 10 (2 sets)
BB Lunges
135 x 6 ea (2 sets)
First time doing speed squats in a while. Depth was all over the place, but I am good with it for the time being. I kept the volume rather low as my training was moved around by a day due to my travels last weekend and it was the day before events. Still felt as though I got work in.
Events
Yoke
500 x 80' (4 runs)
*With squatting the day before and heavy yoke the two prior weeks, I just decided to get some volume in here.
10" DB Press
140 x 2 (3 sets)
140 x 6 in 60 sec
Frame Carry
350 x 80'
450 x 80'
550 x 80'
*Cut it there as I am pulling heavy two days after this.
Stones
*All to 54"
240 x 5
240 x 5
240 x 7
*Again with the volume.
Not a bad day considering I did not have any real high expectations for it. One guy in our crew is competing at Nationals on 11/3, so this was his last session before then. We had a guy from Iowa join us today as he was in town for a wedding and is also competing at Nats, so he needed a spot to train. Very strong kid and should do alright this Saturday. I spent most of my time loading weights for the two that are competing next weekend, but still feel as though I got in some good work all things considered.Strongman Training Log: http://forum.bodybuilding.com/showthread.php?t=138026593

What is there to parody on Tarheel? It is very hard to make a deadlift pull very, very long.
Carbs at night is the best thing ever. No crash during the day or anything. I really like it and have since the days of the Cut Diet.
I would rather train without the constant feeling of sh*tting myself.Strongman Training Log: http://forum.bodybuilding.com/showthread.php?t=138026593

Oh yeah, I remember the good ole cut diet . The 3 days of the diet were so boring that it was the only way to make you think that eating asparagus, sweet potato, and oats was like a dessert from god himself.

Glad this strongman training log is bowel and/or bladder movement friendly.
PRed again at Fe. Dan some some of the most potent stinky farts ever today which oddly started to smell like food after his training partner Greg compared it to McDonalds....Strongman Training Log: http://forum.bodybuilding.com/showthread.php?t=138026593

ME Deadlift
Deadlift
445 x 1
475 x 1
500 x 1
525 x 1
*Not happy again. I went into retard mode and subconsciously made the decision to change my approach to pulling on the 525 from every other set I had....f*cking stupid. I kicked the bar forward and had to fight like hell to recover. Ended up with a 10 lb PR, but the 525 should have been faster and easier.
GHR
30 total reps....took like 9-10 sets. Just hit a few reps between holding boards for the two guys I was training with.
CSR
135 x 20 (2 sets)
135 x 13
Band Facepulls
Average Band x 15
GHR Abs
3 sets of 15
Another session in the Midwest Strength Training Mecca known as Fe. Not a bad day, but there is room for improvement. I guess this is kinda like the Lions beating the Seahawks on Sunday....not perfect, but got the win.
