It will be a process for sure. Shouldn't be too long, but will take a bit. I am thinking that next year will have a couple of mid pack finishes and the following year should lead to some top 3 finishes. Until then, I get to enjoy training and getting stronger....not all bad at all.

HAHA....if I took metamucil, my PCT would definitely include Cottonelle and baby wipes.
That is where I graduated High School at. Pretty lean at the time from the lack of drinking and plenty of basketball and working to keep the calories burning. During that summer, Busch was flowing heavy and manual labor started to wane. Went to college and played quite a bit of ball, but ate a ton of food and of course....more beer.
Funny part is that I graduated at 198....so the 13 lb difference was not far from Thad's mere 10 lbs....but that 198 was on stage of a bodybuilding competition. There was a 245-250 in there at some point.Strongman Training Log: http://forum.bodybuilding.com/showthread.php?t=138026593

You got your BodyForm samples yet??? They have fiber in them so beware
I would usually fluctuate from 220 during the season to 225-230 in the off season. During season was awesome because I could eat any and everything I wanted and not put on weight...but it was also not awesome because I was getting the sh*t ran out me 6-7 days a week!!!Better Body Sports

Well....here is the other one....it is $40 for a 40 serving tub here on bb.com. Easy math equates $1/serving (trust me, I went to college). At two servings per morning, that is about $0.70 less expensive than the two 20 oz Pepsi Max that I usually have....plus it give me the fiber and other goodies along with it. So, if I switch to buying cans of Pepsi Max (2-24 packs for $9.96 this week) and drink one pop along with the BodyForm, that leaves me at $2.21/day as opposed to my current $2.70....so I would be saving ~$15/month and getting more benefit from BodyForm. Hmmmm....delicious supplement and additional steak within the current budget....I think I may have to spring for it.

I just did this math for my belt. I thought I usually by new shoes for the gym about every 2 months since I get nice shoes on clearance I usually spend $50 so I told myself and Wifeybeast, that I would just not buy shoes for the rest of the year. (I just told her that though, I will probably buy some)

Here is a video from Justin Blake from the contest last Saturday. He took first in the heavyweights weighing in somewhere around 220 lbs. It is awesome being able to train with Justin and you can learn a lot from him.
These were the same weights I used if you want to go back to the write up for reference.Strongman Training Log: http://forum.bodybuilding.com/showthread.php?t=138026593

Deadlifts
Deadlift
405 x 3 (3 sets)
*Light. First set felt aweful. Second set was alright. Third set was cake.
Front Squats
135 x 5
185 x 5
225 x 8
*Again....light.
Hyperextensions
3 sets of 10
Very light training today. Nothing too special. Hips, back and hamstrings were pretty torn up still, so I went a bit light. Texas Power Bar is awesome for deadlifting.Strongman Training Log: http://forum.bodybuilding.com/showthread.php?t=138026593

Below is an Excel file with my first draft of my programming for the next 12 weeks. It is very much Westerling influenced with a bit of tailoring to my own training. I may vary a few things as time passes, I get more equipment, etc....but this is the basic concept. If any of y'all have comments, please share. I believe I have logical reasoning for most everything I am doing, but I am sure there are a few things that could use clarification as it is tough to type in an Excel document.

Only thing I might think about changing that I can see offhand is...
you might want to put your sandbag carries on your lower day 2. Also there's no progression on them unless you're keeping time or something. Either progressively carry it longer or alternate between total distance and speed weekly. I am a big fan of these BTW
I'm guessing that you're going to probably start off your event days with a heavy pressing movement so I see your rotation on Day 1's main movement and like that.
Just make sure that your Day 3 isn't wearing you out and draining you for your event training. 5 X 5 squats alone (depending on the weight) can be a b*tch by itself. I'd maybe take a look at overall volume for that day after you've done it through a few progressions and can assess whether it's giving you what you're looking for.
I'd also look into putting an incline movement on that accessory day (maybe rotated with bench press because f*ck bench press ) or on your main movement for Day 1. Axle Inclines, Log inclines or Barbell Inclines, etc... I'm just starting to do log inclines to see if they make any difference in my log pressing so I can't say whether or not it works for me yet.
Maybe look at only doing ab work 1 time per week (on lower Day 2) I think twice per week would maybe be overkill with events on Saturday....again, trial and error hereBetter Body Sports

My comp is being a dick so can you give me a quick overview?
ETA: DanG gave me quick overview.
First thing I am going to suggest is sacking off events. You haven't got a comp lined up so focus on getting stronger in the gym, you are decent at stones and the moving events but your static strength just is not good enough.
**** the events your priority needs to be your pressing and deadlift strength.Last edited by LessThanLuke; 08-29-2012 at 01:45 PM.
