Right on both counts. With strongman, you have to be well versed in order to do well during a contest season. Training for one contest is not too fun and kinda pointless if it isn't Nationals or a Platinum Plus contest.
I would agree at your level. If one were to have <5 meets under their belt and a sub 1200-1300 lb total, I would up the number to 3-4 meets per year. Just because the numbers should be able to climb a bit faster.

Thanks.
Only to attempt getting it on really. I filled the inside with the slick billiard chalk (the kind that goes on your legs for dl) and put trash bags on my legs. After hanging and readjusting for 15 minutes it got close to being right so I pulled 225 for a few. It is ****ing tight and super hard to get to the bar but once I get it seated better it should be good. Tons of tension in the start, **** it hurts tho.

I could complete the citrus color band....
Deadlifting heavy hurts anyways. If you cannot deal with pain....may as well stick to Men's Health routines.
However....I am thinking my suit will fit somewhat loose as I will mostly be pulling reps in it for contests. A tight suit fitted for powerlifting purposes may not be in my best interest competition wise.Strongman Training Log: http://forum.bodybuilding.com/showthread.php?t=138026593
