How wheat wrecks your HEALTH AND PHYSIQUE

    http://www.bodybuilding.com/fun/agai...SUKDI.********

"I think wheat is the worst of the worst carbohydrates, not only because of the blood-sugar effect but also because it increases consumption"

" The foods that trigger the LDL pattern the worst, once removed, give you the most extravagant benefits. If wheat raises blood sugar and triggers small LDL particles higher than almost all other kinds of foods, let's see what happens when I took the wheat out of the diet of those with small LDL and high blood sugars.

Patients would come back with much lower fasting blood sugars and weight loss, but I'd also hear stories about how their asthma improved. Leg swelling decreased; mood and depression improved. Other forms of arthritis and inflammatory diseases improved. Crohn's Disease improved. Acid reflux went away"

He actually states that sugar is even worse, he's seems to be getting at high GI being bad bad bad for you in general. Still just as silly of course

EDIT: Oops wrong of me, what he says is "Well, the only foods that raise blood sugar MORE than whole wheat are corn starch, rice starch, potato starch, and tapioca starch. These are flagrant, rapidly-digested carbohydrates when they're in the powdered form as presented in gluten-free foods."

Okay... So you have a disease that makes you allergic to gluten. I'm not sure how that is relevant to the ridiculousness of the article for the GENERAL population. Pre-existing conditions will change dietary recommendations.

If your confused then read the two links I posted. You'll see that the problems with gluten and some of the antinutrients are highly exaggerated. The other link discusses some of the potential health benefits hence why most countries Departments of Health recommend you consume 2-3 servings per day of whole grains.

If you want to see how different foods affect your body you have two options.
    1. Eliminate certain things from your diet for a few weeks. To see if they were causing any side effects.
    2. Go to the damn doctors.

Lol I listened to someone talk about wheat and it's affects. If you thought the above was BS then you should've heard this guy. He claimed that wars were started due to anger which is caused by wheat and believed that Hitler had this problem. LOL

    Yes. This.

If we followed every bro-claim about "unhealthy" food, there would be nothing left to eat!

No fruits, no high-GI vegetables, no wheat, no animal fat, no eggs, no dairy and a whole lot of powders and pills. Not for me.
    My guilty pleasure: excessive cardio.

Progress towards the 1000 lb club: 945/1000
Bulking until I hit 1000. I don't care if it takes a 40 pound weight gain. No more pussyfooting around.
