So I've been on a lean bulk for 2 months and been doing pretty well, my weight has gone up from 170lb to 175lb and I've only put on 3/8" to my waist. My weight and measurements are always very consistent and rarely fluctuate as my weigh in day is Friday morning after I've been strict on my diet all week.
I went out on Saturday night to a party and quite a bit to drink. I rarely binge drink anymore, I rarely have more than 2 beers in a weekend. I consumed about 1500kcal in alcohol and had some cake! Although I did slightly under eat during the day as I knew I was going out.
I have now put on 2.5lbs and around 1/2" to my waist over the weekend. Do you think this is fat gain or water/bloat? Do you think I will be back to normal in a few days after sticking to my diet and workouts?

Ok guys, my weekly weight in was this morning and I weighed 175.4lb, exactly the same as the last two weeks so that's good. However, I have gained 3/8" to my waist!
As I say in my original post, I have been on a lean bulk, I've gained 5lbs over the last 2 months and only put 3/8" on to my waist. How is my waist now 3/8" bigger even though my weight is back to normal? My waistline is always the most stable measurement and never seems to fluctuate. I have felt bloated most of the week but don't understand why, I've been drinking plenty of water.
