im 5 foot 8, 170 pounds. been working out for a month and a half. and now imma start doing deadlifts. i dont really know what weight to start with... so please help me out.

As you are just starting and are new to the exercise, just use the bar and learn the technique. It is a lot more important than the weight you use. When you know what to do, just raise the weights slowly and eventually you will reach your set weights. Focus on your form and don't destroy your back by trying to lift more than you can.

Bumper plates are ideal, but not all gyms have it.
If 135 is too much, bar + boxes to raise the bar exactly where the bar would sit if there had been 45's plates on the side.
