First off, I am a technical consultant. I travel almost every week, so I have myself a national membership to LA Fitness. When the city I get sent to doesn't have an LA Fitness, my company will pay for a day pass to any gym nearby.

I am creating this thread to hold all of the ridiculous stories and things that happen to me at all of these gyms I go to.

Inevitability. Amazingly enough, today at the Lisle, IL LA Fitness there were only 5 people in the gym at 5am...so nothing happened

Dude that was my old gym before I moved to Hartford. Good times, we had a nice little crew there and there are several sponsored lifters that frequent that place.

Honestly it was the worst gym I've ever really lifted at. Dude bert stared me for dumbbell shoulder pressing 100's.

Met my personal trainer in a hotel room for some lower body work

Weird thing, he kept trying to make me to drink alcohol between sets & saying "you're doing it wrong! Let me spot you!"

Today at the wonderful Lisle LA Fitness I came across a germaphobe. While I was crankin out some deadlifts, I saw this guy spend 5 minutes disinfecting the pulldown machine. Needless to say, I watched for all 5 minutes.

When he looked over and saw me looking at him, I did not break the stare. It was the best 10 second stare of my life, as he did not use the machine after disinfecting....the stare scared him out of the gym.

Just wanted to say that it's good to be home at my home gym.

That being said....my trainer stalker continued her stalkerish ways today while I did dumbbell bench. She knows damn well I don't need a spot, so why the hell is she putting her crotch near my face and asking me if I do?
