ok so lately (this month especially) im noticing that Im fiercely ravenously and uncontrollably hungry while on my period. I know women tend to burn more calories/metabllism increases to some degree but seriously?! hungry isnt even the word for me this month! does this happen that noticeably to anyone else?

Oh yes, indeed. I need to find the thread I started about this a while ago, there were some great replies in there...you're totally normal, OP.
edit --->> here's the thread I started a few months back on this very thing. hope it helps.

nope not me. However I find I always know when I am getting my period because the week before is like that. I just want to open my mouth and stuff food in it. I feel like I HAVE to eat.
Then the first day of period comes and everything vanishes :~ All the cravings, the binging, and the bloating all magically flow away. (sorry couldn't resist pun. my bad )

I have acid reflux issues, and they always worsen around that time of the month and make my hunger feel 10 billion times worse! It's brutal It's usually worse the week before though, not when I'm on my period. Except for today...

Opposite, I struggle to eat. I get horrible, nauseating cramps every month.

OMgoodness meeee tooooo. I am soooo hungry all the time. I eat very well, lots of protein and I eat every two to three hours. sometimes I am hungry an hour after I eat. I think i have a tape worm. Seriously. I have been told to eat more protein but it was my understanding that women can only digest about 30 grams of protein at a time. I usually do about 25-35 grams per meal. do you girls follow that guidline?

A week and a half before I am definetly much hungrier...for sweet things, this lasts for about 4-5 days then is followed by 3 days for not being able to sleep, and waking up hungry...fun times. My pms symptoms don't happen all at once but throughout the month, moodiness, hunger, restless sleep, cramps, headaches, confusion and tiredness... so I actually only have one really perfect week each month, which follows my period. Excercise definetly helps me, and being aware of why I feel the way I do, thankfully I'm more prone to thinking logically than letting my emotions control me or my house would be a miserable one...lol.

Omg yes like I could eat my bodyweight
It's insane. Sweet. Salty. Everything. I'm really fatigued, unmotivated to workout & depressed too. I went to the doctor to
ask if something was abnormal about me but she said no but that the pill could help level it out. I don't trust the pill though. Always gain weight & get depressed on it.
