The original P90x came out several years ago. P90X2 is the sequel. It's supposed to be really good. They used Dr. Marcus Elliott and the Peak Performance Project to develop the workouts. If you look at the Peak Performance Project website they provide services to top-notch athletes and pro sports teams.

"The fitness and nutrition world is a breeding ground for obsessive-compulsive behavior. The irony is that many of the things people worry about have no impact on results either way, and therefore aren't worth an ounce of concern."--Alan Aragon

It all depends on your goals. Like any program, there are pros and cons. Many people, espcially in these forums, are anti-P90x and definitely have a negative opinion about it, but on the flip side, there are numerous success stories of people who have used it. No single program is right for everyone, but it has worked for a lot of people.
