    Knot/Lump in Quad Muscle. Painful!

I play soccer, and for the past week or so, every time I go to pass/kick the ball, I feel a burning sensation in my upper left quad. It almost brings me to tears. As practice goes on it becomes harder for me to run/sprint and even walk on it. I feel a lump/knot on it and have been rubbing icy hot on it and massaging it daily, but every time I go to soccer it hurts just as bad if not worse. Any tips?! I really don't want to be out for the whole season so I'd like to take care of it now.

    Are you injured or hurt?

From the looks of it, you seem like you're injured, and I would recommend not playing soccer until the pain subsides. And of course, see your trainer or doctor. You may have torn a muscle.
