Hey, i am a day into using the p90x program (and burning like mad! Hell yeah!!!!) and i think in the past i have had an ignorant approach to dieting, i always believed it was lke 90% what you do on the floor, and 10% nutrition...from reading around i'm starting to realise just how ignorant i was!
The problem here is, the p90x diet plan looks great, but from reading it i can't help but wonder if it's solely designed around cutting the weight in your wallet, rather than the weight on your body. They seem to be recommending quite a lot of home-brand supplements etc on there, and i just feel that they over-market everything on it, so....
Although i probably would be capable of finding something suitable using the 'search' button, i was wondering if anybody had any protein-based diets that are specific to phase 1 of p90x, and if they have any money saving tips, i want my muscles burning, and not my wallet!
Of course i take this seriously, and i understand that to a fair degree, i need to part with cash, because protein is expensive, but short of turning tricks in the street - i am on a tight budget!
Thanks for taking the time to read this, when i post up my before/after shots i'll be sure to dedicate a mention to you

The stickies contain the info you need.
You don't need to follow any specific diet. Simply know how to reach your macros/micros and caloric needs, and you'll be fine. Experiment with different foods and timings in order to feel optimal through-out the day and during your work-outs. This is what matters. Not following a single set diet, which may be completely uncomfortable for you and thus holding you back for various possible reasons. We are all different and because of that, we can't all progress on the same diet.
