I'm in Maine too and I completely agree. People are acting like it's the apocalypse, but I doubt it'll be nearly as bad as people think.

Hey guys, i know this isn't misc, but i trust you guys more. So anyways, i live in CT and was wondering, is this storm being overhyped by the media? or is it really that serious?

i live in florida and have been through cat 3's so this didnt look bad to me but it is hitting places that never get hit with this type of storm so it is not a good situation. i guess its somewhere around 9 deaths? if i heard right.

They evacuated the coastal towns here in Rhode Island... then again everything is costal in Rhode Island. I think they're blowing this out of proportion however we did get the lovely flood of 2010 that swamped half our state because no one prepared for it. So yeah I would stay indoors if I were you.

There's some pretty bad flooding going on a bit further down town from my house. My dad is soo proud of himself for flood-proofing the house. And I quote, "We're real Italians now! We have an aqueduct!" lol.

Oh! And as far as I know, they're saying its over in CT pretty much. All we're getting now is what they're calling "tropical storm conditions". So I'd assume that to mean it's also pretty much done in the city as well.
