Yah legit acne sucks hardcore. Mine isn't that bad, but it would hurt ALL the time, especially to talk/smile. I'm not doing accutane, just the pill which has made me moody/bitchy as anything. Kind of working thus far.
A lot of my friends have done accutane and my dad is a doctor (talked to him about it before). If you have a history of depression/depression tendencies you are at greater risk of that, but from what I understand it is not too high a risk otherwise. Skin dries out like a bitch, get your chap stick on (no it's not gay). Extra sun sensitive, wear sunscreen/hat etc.400/230/445@165lbs

Expect your skin to get really dry and red, also you will sunburn really quickly but you live in England so that is unlikely to happen. I was on the course for 5 months on 60g a day. I have been off it for 3 months now and haven't had a pimple since. I didnt get any joint pains so it shouldn't affect your workout.

Here's my problems. You might not get all of them, but it's possible. I'm on a high dose because of the severity of mine.
Dry skin, chapped lips, dry eyes, fragile skin (massive amounts of cuts and blisters, the slightest touch cuts my skin), very frequent nosebleeds, severe joint pain in lower body and spine. I can't lay down on my side or do squats/deadlifts/military press because they all make my back hurt too much and it feels like its going to cave in. I don't really have problems with sun burns, if anything i just tan a little easier.
I can still lift for upper body, except for most shoulder exercises. I had been doing leg press for my legs since I couldn't squat, but eventually when I upped the dose I couldn't even do that because my knees feel like they are going to shatter.
Most people I know haven't had most of the bad problems though. Most you'll get is probably dry skin and chapped lips. But don't get caught off guard. I thought I wouldn't have any side effects other than those. Also, don't take more than 100% DV of vitamin A, it could make side effects worse.
Most progress comes from weeks 9-13
one of the effects is weight gain, and I feel like it's made me hungrier, just saying. Although my new protein shakes are more filling so it's still harder to eat.**everyday hustlin crew**

"Isn't very good for your liver"? The stuff is horrible for your liver. In addition, you don't need anywhere near as much Vitamin A as you seem to believe to notice beneficial effects.
Where in the **** did you hear Vitamin A is 10x as toxic as Accutane? That is one of the most idiotic things I have heard in a while.

went on it for 7 months, made me super depressed and gave me MEGA chapped lips and dry skin. don't regret a thing though, would do it over again, my skin is gorgeous and has been ever since a couple months into taking accutane. worked wonders for me!!!! i understand it's different for everyone but accutane was the best decision i ever made, besides joining the gym haha.

http://www.webmd.com/vitamins-and-su...uide-vitamin-a
recommended dose is ~4500-5000 IU a day.
to get the same effect as 20mg of accutane a day you would need 30,000 UI, 3x more than the MAXIMUM dosage of vitamin A. I don't know if you are trolling but vitamin A poisoning is more common than you realize. At least on accutane the blood is being checked periodically.
By the way, Vitamin A in itself is not as toxic, just the doses you need to get the same results. I'm sorry I did not make that clear.**everyday hustlin crew**

Then there's the fairly large number of people who megadose ~100,000 IU of Vitamin A and never notice any side effects. Funny how that works.
Vitamin A deficiency is far more common than anything. For people to reach toxic levels of Vitamin A on the average diet these days, they'd have to intentionally do it.

Was on it when I was 15-16. Hated the side effects, my lips were always so chapped and I just looked all dried up and I had to give blood. After effects amazing though, no acne anymore. I get maybe 1 or 2 here and there if any. I had pretty bad acne in the beginning too.
