I posted in another thread about this titan product. I believe this to be a very good training tool. However I have seen very little discussion on other peoples experiences with this product. I was able on my first workout to easily increase my working set by 30 pounds. I have some experience with bench shirts and I have found them difficult to put on and painful to use. This product was just the opposite(very easy to put on especially when working out alone and absolutely no pain or discomfort). Please share what you have experienced and how you incorporate this into your training.

In my opinion yes. there is virtually no way to put on a shirt by yourself. I would say to use a power rack if training alone for safety. It is without a doubt the most trouble free tool to aid bench training. I have heard others say Mark Bell's slingshot is better but I've never tried one of those yet.

So you're going to create an accont just to tell us how great the RAM is when there's plenty of info already out there. Why would you use a RAM unless you benched in a shirt? To "save the shoulders?"

I'm a big fan of the RAM. I'm a sucker for new toys so I have both the RAM and the Slingshot. But I still think you're spamming.***Georgia Crew***

Yes I'm new to this forum. I have not been lifting for several years. I started back up 5 months ago and I looking to get back to where I was before. I just think this will aid me to get there faster and help prevent injury. I have been reading posts on this forum and I thought I should try to contribute. I would love to hear another point of view on how I can train at over max and do it safely. It's not easy getting back into lifting at 40.

I have the slingshot. I would imagine they are probably one and the same. I was able to push up an additional 8% perhaps. Came out to about 30 lbs or so. Finally let me push past that 4 pps I have been trying to get to forever. One thing that I would highly recommend is not to get in the habit of benching with this every single session unless you have a nagging shoulder injury. It's really intended to aid in overloading and developing the lock out. I plan to use it probably every third or fourth ME chest day.

the only people who "need" the conjugate system are multyply lifters. (NO hate to Isaku). Give me one example of an IPF world champ that uses the westside conjugate system. name a big time raw lifter (besides koyongi, who I feel would be just as strong with whatever program she followed).

This thread is getting so far off track. I'm just looking for other people's experiences or opinions about the super ram or maybe the slingshot since it is a similar device. it was never intended to debate training systems. what works for one person doesn't always work for another. This may be the case with this device as well. However I have seen no discussion on their use or potential benifits. I was hoping to have someone chime in that has several months of training with one of these things.

here's how they work:
They don't "save" your shoulders. Thats bullshi/t. If anything they're more dangerous because of increased loads. What they are is a great way to train for equipped benching. if you're an equipped bencher then they are a great tool to have. I think they're best used as a warmup tool during a meet for shirted benchers. Do they have any carryover to your raw bench? doubt it.***Georgia Crew***

I've hit 495 pretty easy in a slingshot.
then took it off and hit 425 raw.
so yea.
either way I agree with the judge that they're very good as warmer-uppers for shirted bench, a good intermediate step between your last raw warmup and putting on your shirt, rather than shirting up and using say a 4 board.
I also disagree with you judge, but you already knew I would...*Mods/CS will not, nor can they change your username, so don't ask*

I decided to try the Slingshot, when I decided earlier this year to compete again. I had a training partner using it and it was working well for him. It helped get my bench back up to a pretty easy 455, and woulda been higher too. I hit 505 in the Slingshot pretty easy. But it definitely helped me work my upper end. I hate boards and suck at them, and think the Slingshot works better for me. So, yeah , I think it helps your raw bench.

So, how long are you gonna keep powerlifting?

First thing. Thank you for starting this thread I have been going back and forth trying to decide whether or not to buy a Ram or not, and Secondly if this thread is spam then so be it. It's helpful. I wanted to learn about the product and I feel like I now have enough information to make a decision. I have seriously screwed up my shoulders lifting "not at the same time". During both injuries I was lifting Raw. I do lift with a shirt, but sometimes it is not practical and that is where I see this product for me. It's a way for me to practice bench without having to hunt down people to help me put on and take off gear, and a way to protect my shoulders.

Raw lifter checking in. I have a Super Titan Ram. Used it a few times. So far it is just a novelty. It is fun and all, but I am still able to easily make gains without it.
I could see it being more useful further down the road once the gains slow down. One advantage over board presses is ROM. Another would be if you want to work on not flaring your elbows.
