Ram doesn't alter technique very much, you can use it like a raw lifter or a gear lifter.... probably closer to raw though, its not as strong as a sling shot. Dunno about a super ram though

The RAM is super stretch, but I was using a XXL I believe. I was able to use my normal bench motion. My only problem with it is that it's hard for me to use alone. When i set up in my arch, then try to reach back and unrack the bar, it slides really far up my chest, basically to my neck. At that, I'd think the slingshot would work better for me.

Well one quick note I just got my ram and was happy to see that the first thing on the tag says Made in Texas, USA. I don't have a lot of knowledge on the slingshot or catapult but I am very pleased that buying the ram helps support my local economy.
