First time playing 12 man ppr: please rate my team
Well, I noticed there were a sh!t ton of rate my team posts so here's another (sorry).
This is my second time ever playing fantasy, and its a 12 man .4 ppr league (if .4 makes that big a difference)
I was third pick, So here is how it went (my picks in order of draft)
(3) Arian Foster RB
(22) Matt Forte RB
(27) Hakeem Nicks WR
(46) Knowshon Moreno RB (probably should have picked someone else here? but there were there were plenty of WRs to pick from on the turn)
(51) Brandon Lloyd WR
(70) Tony Romo QB (picked a qb too early?)
(75) Santana Moss WR
(94) James Starks RB
(99) Mike Tolbert RB
(118) Kevin Kolb QB (another bad/too early qb pick?)
(123) Greg Olsen TE
(142) Mike Williams WR
(147) Falcons D/ST D/ST
(166) Danny Amendola WR
(171) Roscoe Parrish WR
(190) Billy Cundiff K

klob was a bad pick yeah but over all looks solid.... only seems like you got 1 elite plater in AF though

Strong Lurker
i like your team
QB- romo is a stud, got a bad rap the past couple of years but alot of that was bad luck, hes in for a great year and dallas has some weapons, i might have waited for a later qb like burger or stafford, but romo is prob the earliest qb that I would get, maybe rivers depending on the draft
RB- Foster/Forte is a great 1-2 for a 12 man ppr (.4 isnt gonna make or break many people, but its still nice for you) both could be top ten receiving for rb's, without checking im sure foster was top 5, and forte prob top 10 last year, i dont love moreno, but i do love him as a 3rd RB in a 12 man
WR - Nicks is a great starting WR for a 12 man, had a killer year last year and with smith gone his touches should go up, the rest of your WR's scare me. Lloyd could be a huge upset or make your team amazing. Hes got the skills to be a top ten WR, but hes got one great year out of 7 or 8, the rest of your bench is actually pretty nice. moss isnt a TD machine, but he catches balls (prob top 10 in rec last year) and can ran for yac and amendola is another high rec guy, with bradford settling in he could have a breakout year
TE- greg olsen is a pretty ****ty TE imo, even for a 12 man, but i can see you got him super late looking at your bench
overall i think you have a solid base to work with
Phillies - Flyers - Steelers

My initial strategy was to go RB/RB/ WR-RB/ WR-RB. In most of the mocks i was doing romo was long gone before the 7th and since he was there i got greedy. I hope it doesnt screw me over, maybe kolb will do well this year if romo isnt performing.
And yea I screwed myself on the TE, there were like 3 above him and i figured i would take kolb a chance getting a better TE on the turn, but every one seemed to need one that round.
i feel like ill do better than the guy who took rodgers in the 2nd and then a kicker in the 11th who said my team was ****ty. So we shall see. Hopefully i can at least make playoffs
edit: and i am hoping olsen does a little better since he got traded

I know this is an old post so I am not sure you will see it, but they are rating olsen rather high now (10 on espn?). Has he made a huge improvement lately or is he just being overhyped? I may have to start looking for a trade soon if he is ****ty, i seem to be 1 of 3 that only have 1 TE luckily i have depth in other positions so a trade could be fairly easy.
