The theory of evolution is among the best supported theories in science. It is universally accepted by biologists. Not believing in evolution means you do not believe in the methods of scientific investigation. So if you deny evolution you are denying probably the most well-understood mechanism in nature. Do you believe in gravity?

the us is not the "world's most technologically advanced nation". far from it. many technological advances stem from the us, but the average american does in no way lead a life in a "technologically advanced" society compared to many countries.
education is also fairly average in the us and down right crappy in many districts.

I think it is safe to say it is universally accepted by every single scientist in the world that received their PhD from an accredited university.
No wonder Texas is at the bottom of the barrel in education. I can only imagine what their classes must be like:
In todays chemistry class we are going to teach stoichiometry and alchemists formula for turning lead into gold. We think are you smart enough to decide which one is right.

There isn't one, it's not a scientific term.
While you're at it, look up the definition of "alive", and see if that applies to a fetus as well.
Then ask yourself the herp derp question, Why don't democrats believe in science???*Type O Negative Crew*
