Basically all people want to do is-
1)Drink somewhere
2)Smoke weed or do harder drugs srs
3) Go out and eat fatty expensive food....
I don't do any of those things except like maybe once a month max...basically due to the fact I'm cutting and that I am over the drinking thing now. I don't act pretentious about it..but when i do go out I get **** for ordering plain chicken at a bar (literally make them prepare plain chicken at the bar) or drinking water in the clubs (also refusing to smoke).
Dunno...its definitely isolated me and I'm basically forever alone unless I do those things- but that wouldn't be me really.
In b4 "lol who cares just live it up and eat bad and drink brah"...not that simple. I feel like **** when I do those things and they don't make me happy, not to mention I can't afford it

I know what you mean, but doesn't keep me from joining my friends that go drink. Who said you had to drink? Do drugs? or any of that stuff to hang around people. You just choose not to join because you think its lame that people drink/do drugs while you choose to be sober.

I never really used to go for all that bull**** about "live to the fullest" and "you only live once", and to be honest I still kind of dont. As humans we're wired EVOLUTIONARY to avoid harmful situations and be safe. But life isnt that scientific. If it's causing you this much guilt, then you should go ****ing do what you want bro.
There are limits to everything, and I mean that. But at the end of the day, YOU have to come out on top. YOU have to be the one who's having the good time and who's living life to the fullest instead of posting these threads on the misc. If other people want to get drawn into a world of drugs, alcohol, and binge eating then LET THEM. Even give them the illusion that you're joining along for the ride.
But you're not bro. You're above that. You're better then them, but if you let them know this, they'll get jealous and avoid you! Show them your weakness, your "need" for alcohol, drugs, food when really YOU are above them. You lift, you train, you watch your diet and all that matters is that you're confident about what you do.
Everything in life can be managed. When it gets to the point that things are unmanagable, which will come eventually, then LEAVE the situation and find something new. At age 23 you've still got a couple years of this ahead of you before you HAVE to wake up and cut it out.

If I would have "lived it up" in college I never would have made it into med school. I go out to eat probably 4 times a week on average,sometimes more, I'm out with friends and/or a girl literally every single night, I go to school full time, I have a job, and I misc/play video games in my leisure. Even though every one of my friends does, I don't drink or smoke, and they are accepting of it. I don't explain why, I just say it's for personal reasons.
When I go out to eat, I find the protein heavy meal and order that then eat light the rest of the day.
You can improve yourself without sacrificing your life.

I don't know man, I smoke weed almost everyday and it has no effect on gains whatsoever. Drinking isn't too bad for gains, just do it occasionally and don't make a habit of it.
