What is a good squat for a male that is ~145lb? Thinking about getting into power lifting and just wanted to see how far i am off

    Thanks

A double bodyweight squat (full squat), without any aids other than a belt, is a good number to initially shoot for.

You can also check this chart, it is based on a few guidelines, among them, the ones from Rippetoe

    http://www.exrx.net/Testing/WeightLi...Standards.html

At your bodyweight, 350lbs would be a good number (advanced).

Lastly, if you are interested in going into powerlifting, check the results of the federation you want to go in. Check state championships and the first 5 places, and that would give you an eyeball figure to know what you should be shooting for for the near future.

It isnt about what you squat now, its what you wantto squat 12 weeks from now or even 2-3 years from now that is more important

There is no answer, because it is a trick question!

If you listen closely, the clue comes in the very first sentence:

"What is a good squat for a male that is ~145lb?"

    145 lb male = paradox?
    637/390tng/615 - belt/wraps, best gym lifts.
    600/370/600 - best competition lifts.
575/330/560 - best competition lifts at 181 raw.
