That's 1.6lbs since last week when I upped my cals. So i've been at 3300 since last Wednesday.

Yeah I'm using a split Erick Stevens drafted for me in this thread (slightly modified) and it's working well so far - i'm gunna test it out and see how it goes gain-wise as well as comfort wise for recovery. I hit quads and calves on one lower day, then focus on hams and glutes the next. So, my first lower body one might be like yesterday, then Friday i'll do SLDL's, something like Lunges, then a Ham Curl move, and Calves again.
My weight gain is 1.6lbs since last Wednesday on the new calorie level (3300)

One of my secondary goals with this bulk (in addition to the size and strength gains) is to know my body better. Am I am volume person? Am I a HIT person? I haven't done much experimenting and I want to find something that really works for my body this time around so I can continue in the years to come.
So far, this 'intense' training with the low reps per set seems to be a nice shock to my muscles, but in the long run only time will tell what I respond to. For now, i'm even considering dropping to 3 workouts per week - I've noticed my DOMS and recovery since starting the new routine last a long time.Last edited by AdamWW; 09-07-2011 at 01:15 PM.
