OP do some research about that area, perhaps there has been some kind of brutal killing or homicide or similar thing right where you were taking a nap. I think it`s due to those bad things that when the body dies the spirit gets so traumatized that it has a hard time leaving this dimension.

Me and my best friend where going upstairs into my room and as we opened the door he was stood in the doorway. As a kid back then I described him as looking like a farmer, he had a trench coat on and hat kinda like in that pic and he also had a shotgun. The strange thing is there was actually a shotgun hidden in the loft in that room. Me and my friend ran downstairs and he never came to my house again and not long after that we stopped hanging out. Thing is he was over at my house every single day before then....

The second time was in winter a few years ago and I could see him stood in the doorway of the living room, I ran back into the kitchen and my gf claimed she could see nothing. He remained in the living room for about a month mainly in the top right corner like he could kinda remain there, climb up there somehow and I would talk to him. By the way his name was John and he looked exactly that picture. I described him to my missus as looking like the main character off a FPS game I used to play called Blood.

This is actually bringing back memories of when I was staying off at a friends aunties and it was just me and him in the house and we seen someone staring into the kitchen window who looked exatcly that way apart from his eyes were red. We both hid on the floor behind the kitchen counter for about 3 hours completely scared even though I was about 16/17 at the time and would normally confront someone, this man just looked very scary.

Edit number 2: Holy sh!t I never played the second Blood game and didn't realise he actually had red eyes, this is exactly what the person looked like outside my friends aunties window and exactly what John looked like apart his eyes didn't glow red, they were just normal, dark but white.

I believe i have seen the Hat man when i was around 6-7 years old it was in Moscow. me and my brother shared the same room and had a 2 level bed i was sleeping on the 1st level. i woke up at night it was really dark and there were no sounds, i looked to the part where the stairs were and saw something black i thought it was The Death because it was wearing a long long cape, i couldn't see the head i was really scared and didn't move i couldn't see its head he was very tall. i closed my eyes and tried to not breath so he wouldn't notice that i saw him and i was sweating really badly, it felt like he was there for an eternity, while keeping my eyes closed i started yelling for my father to come, when he turned the light on it was gone. i totally forgot about this incident until today ( wow even now remembering this i have goosebumps all over my body woooow this stuff is ****ed up

At one point few years ago I'd repeatedly wake up exactly at 3:33am for like 5 days straight...freaked the hell out of me at the time but then soon forgot about it.
Reading this thread reminded me again. Srs btw, totally srs. There's gotta be some explanation for this? Cannot be coincidence, the odds of that happening randomly must be like gazillion to one.

A few months ago now, I used to have terrible insomnia and would stay up until 5-6 am every night. for about a week solid, i would ALWAYS look at the clock at exactly 3:33, on the second, every day for a week. I would just glance and every single time it would be 3:33 when i wouldn't have checked the clock for hours before or after (100% srs)

Ill tell you my story about shadow people that I experienced. I was driving to my dorm at school from my house around 9 - 10 pm and my music was probably 75% loud in my car, when I heard the most EVIL girl laugh right behind me. Bricks were shat instantly and I almost smashed into the divider going 75 mph. Music was ****ing turned off and all the windows were put down, and every 5 seconds I'd turn around to make sure nothing was ****ing behind me. The whole ride I had this strange feeling something bad was going to happen. In this 25 minute drive, I almost got into an accident 3 times, and I saw about 10 cops. Something was definitely out to get me.


I ended up getting to my room safe and sound and started brushing my teeth getting ready for bed. My bathroom was small and the door was probably 2 feet wide and 7 1/2 feet tall. I turn towards the door and I **** you not a 7 foot tall black SPIRIT (looked like living black gas) wooshed slowly past my door to the inside of my room. I stood in ****ing SHOCK............


and then went to sleep lol. I ended up having a scary ass dream that night, where I realized I was dreaming for the first time in my life. When I realized I was dreaming that eerie evil violin music started playing and I woke up into another dream.

Weirdest day of my life.

The reason hat man is so intriguing is because so many stories from around the world are so similar. Gaucho hat, trench coat, in the doorway, sometimes tips his hat, etc. In nearly all of the stories, people are convinced that their minds were phucking with them until reading nearly identical stories online. That even happened several times in this thread (page 9).

I have insomnia and take various medications for sleep. I also occasionally get audio halucinations from my meds. The most prevelant audio halucination is a quick double tap, like someone is knocking on the wall right behind my bed or on the door. It scares the crap out of me every time and I wake up and think someone is at the door but no one is there.

There are also hypnogogic halucinations which occur right on the moment when you are falling asleep or waking up. I have had many including seeing spiders (quite common apparently) as well as geometric patterns & people walking in my room. When I have seen these I am actually still awake with the lights off. I actually have to conciously stand up and switch the light on so that they disappear, they are that vivid. I am not psychotic or on any other meds. (ALL SRS)

^^ I do believe SOME of our experiences are related to that state of semi-awakeness, and lots of sounds are hallucinations.
I've had plenty of experiences, but after a while I realized one or two were definitely not paranormal.
Example : I can easily fall into REM sleep (rapid eye movement), I have no idea how or why.
But withing minutes I can be in my dreams, but the lucidity only lasts a few min.
One time, after five min in my bed, I got woken up by the sound of a female evil scream in my ears, I could FEEL the breath and hear it scream in despair I wanted to die when I woke up !! My bro and father heard nothing, yet there were in the room.

- Not all the encounters are paranormal, some can totally be explained of course
- 3am is the demonic hour, if you're christian. If not, I dunno why 3am is more likely to show those things....

I had the worst sleep last night cause i was worried the Hatman or Shadow People were going to be standing at my bed side smiling down at me. I've heard many of these stories and one very recently happened to my cousin.

I lived in my old house for about 9 years. It used to be a house for soldiers years ago. Anyways i noticed here and there seeing a guy. He had a greyish beard and used to wear the arab two=piece clothing. I saw him many times when i would walk past a room, i would go back and there was nothing there or it was a basket of clothes. I never thought anything of it. I remember i was playing outside with my cousins and one of my cousins looked at the balcony and sort of blinked multiple times and frowned. I asked him what it was and he said he just thought he saw an old man. I was like wtf?

I remember one time the radio turned on by itself and when i turned it off and left the room, i heard the speakers crashing to the ground. Shat bricks then. Anyways my mum went to this guy who had jinns under his control and he said there was a jinn in our house and described him exactly as how me and my cousin had seen him. When i heard this i was like WTFFFFFFFFFFF?!!! Anyways my house got demolished and i haven't seen that guy since then.


About 3 weeks ago, my cousin had a paranormal encounter. He was sleeping and noticed something very dark in the corner of his room. Like it was incredibly dark, when he looked closely he saw there was a dark figure crouching in the corner. He said it started crawling towards his bed and was smiling at him. He was paralyzed and tried saying some dua and the 'guy' started crawling even faster towards him. Next thing he knew he was looking at the wall laying on the side of his body. He thought he had dreamed it but was freaked for a few nights. After reading this i'm pretty sure what he saw was shadow people.
