-with weight classes there owuld be far too many winners. if not that, then all the weight classes would be so spread out, the situation u describe will probably happen.

- even tho someone weighs 200lbs, they could just be obese who just started lifting. i think age is a good indicator of how long someone has been lifting which IMO is pretty fair. a 15 year old could not possibly be lifting long enough to be 170lbs shredded squatting 5 plates. - others have already suggested age class.
with all that being said there are also frauds to putting age classes, there are probably 18 year olds that just started lifting last month. but then there could just be an overweight 15 year old that just started lifting. unfortunately neither system is gonna be perfect. i just happen to think the pro's of age class' out weighed the pro's of weight class'.
Why not just do a 100lbs-150lbs, a 150lbs-200lbs, and a 200+lbs?*

If you want to avoid all injury, use perfect, slow form with light weight.
If you want to avoid growing a vagina, use heavy weight with half way decent form, occasionally cheating to force a few more reps.

lol im out of this. i did it on wednesday, did 165x40 but my ipod wasnt recording, legs are still sore today, dont feel like doing it again since it was sooo painful.... ill just spectate.

brb person 5'6 genetic potential stagnates at 180, while someone who is 6'4 goes till 250. taller people should be stronger.

True but in the beginning it's easier for short people to squat more because they simply have less distance to move the weight. However in the long run tall people win Just give me a few months to send my vid in lol.

edit : so if we're squatting our bodyweight, are you counting the weight of the bar (45lbs) ? so for a 135 teen, he'd have to put to 45lbs plates ?
