ITT: we grade our NFL teams by position

    Panthers

QB - F. I'm hopeful, but when your quarterbacks consist of Jimmy Clausen, Derek Anderson, and Cam Newton I can't really give them anything else. Jimmy is well, Jimmy. Cam is unproven thus ungradable, and Derek Anderson is the worst quarterback in the NFL.

RB - A+, our 3rd string back could start on some teams. Double trouble coming back strong this year.

WR - D-, Smitty is good and all, but with Gettis out there is no proven guy.

OL - A- - this is completely dependent on Otah being healthy. Gross/Kalil/Wharton are among the top at their positions, and Geoff Schwartz is a guy that can play multiple positions and has proven to be a solid starter(nothing more, nothing less). If Otah can remain healthy, look for the 2008 Panthers run game to jump back. Dude is one of the best run blockers in the league.

TE - B+ - Olsen and Shockey instantly become the best TE's the Panthers have had in franchise history. Under Rivera and Chudzinski, he could be something special.

    DEFENSE

DL - D+, Charles Johnson is a beast and a rising star, but no one really sticks out aside from Greg Hardy, but unfortunately he was injured in a motorcycle accident and I don't know if/when he'll play this season. DT is a HUGE unknown, but if Terrell McClain can bring his training camp/preseason play into the regular season this grade goes up significantly.

LB - A++++++. Best 4-3 unit in the league. Jon Beason is, at worst, a top 3 MLB in the NFL. James Anderson is one of the better SLB in the league and Thomas Davis before the injury **** was playing at a pro bowl level at WLB.

CB - F-, if I could grade lower I would. Gamble is a huge question mark(don't know wtf happened to this guy) and #2 corner is lol.

Safeties - C+, Sherrod Martin and Charles Godfrey are solid starters. Nothing more, nothing less.

I tried to be as non-homer as possible here, so please do the same.

inb4 teams with A+'s across the board.

    Dolphins:
QB: B. Henne will come through. Just fuking watch you *******s. Matt Moore is a top 5 backup in the league.

RB: B. Thomas has the potential to turn this into an A. D-Train/Reggie Bush should make a nice duo. Hilliard sucks, but is a good STer and hopefully Nic Grigbsy makes the team cause he is a future star.

WR: A-. Marshall and Bess are two top receivers in the league. It's a shame Bess doesn't get more recognition. Hartline is solid when healthy. Gates looks promising. It looks like we may roll with 6 WRs this year if Phillip Livas makes the team as a returner and it looks like Wallace/Moore/Pruitt are fighting for a spot (hopefully it's Wallace)

TE: C+ or B-. Depends on whether Charles Clay is going to be a TE or FB. If he's a TE it is a B-. If he plays more of an H-Back or FB position, then it'll be a C+ with Fasano being a solid all around player and then having no depth after him. lol Dedrick Epps and Mickey Shuler.

OL: B-. I honestly don't know. Long is on the PUP list, but he's the best LT in the league. Incognito was solid last year and Pouncey looks promising. RG is open and it looks like Vernon Carey (who sucked dick last year cause of injuries) may be the starter at RG this year since John Jerry is a bust. Marc Columbo may start at RT which really brings the OL down a lot. idk, just too much mixing and matching yet again. I'd really like to get a set offensive line to stick together for years.

    ====

DL: A+. imo, the best 3-4 defensive line in the league (no homer) because of the talent of our depth. Langford-Solia-Starks are all Pro Bowl caliber players. Then you got Jared Odrick who's been a fuking beast all TC/pre season. Phillip Merling lost weight and isn't a bad rotational guy. Ronald Fields is a solid backup NT. Tony McDaniel is incredibly underrated and extremely versatile.

LB: A. Wake/Dansby are studs. Kevin Burnett was definitely an upgrade over Channing Crowder and he looks like he can fit well with Dansby. Misi went almost unnoticed last year, despite having one of the best rookie defensive years. We also have some depth now, with AJ Edds coming back (looked incredible against the Falcons Monday), Jason Trusnik, and we worked out a shiit ton of vets yesterday.

CB: B. Vontae/Sean is a great duo now. Nolan Carroll looks promising (had a good year last year) and Will Allen is healthy. But, neither Allen or Carroll look to be anything special right now. Our 5th CB is open to either Nate Ness, Benny Sapp, or a nobody. That scares me. Unless we plan on having Jimmy Wilson play CB, but I want him at safety where he'll have a better shot at seeing the field, cause he's gonna be a stud.

Safeties: C+. Yeremiah Bell is a beast. Maybe not in coverage, but he's an over all beast. Clemons sucks dick, but I sense a turnaround this year if he starts game 1. Reshad Jones looks promising. Jimmy Wilson is gonna be a fuking stud...

edit: ^we fukin killed defense brah. On point lol.

    I'll bite. Raiders

QB - C+ So far, Campbell is decent...lets see how he does THIS year, now that he's got Hue for 2 str8 years, and AL Saunders who he's worked with before.*
RB - A, no question. with McFadden, Bush who can be a premier back anywhere and depth with Louis Rankin, Michael Bennett and the rookie Taiwan Jones
WR - C- Got talent with Louis Murphy, Jacoby Ford, D. Moore the rookie has been lighting it up...+ DHB has shown flashes and could break out, and if Schilens stays healthy this season he can be a no.1*
TE - B- got a legit starting Tight End in Boss, who's a less caliber pass catcher than Miller but a wayy better blocker.
O - Line - C Average...can be upgraded to a B if Veldheer does as well as he did last year, then he's our franchise LT. + Wiesnewiski can step up with Barksdale...we've locked down 3 outta 5 spots for the next 6 years.

D Line - A. No question, HOF in Seymour, top 4-3 rushing DT in Kelly, GREAT size/speed combos on the edges with Houston and Shaghnessey. Plus Scott and Wimbley lineup as DE's, and throw in John Henderson for run support
LB - B McClain is our Mike for the next decade, Wimbley is a top pass-rusher and the other spot, we've got..uhh..Quentin Groves who is average. Hopefully they do sign Lofa.
CB - C+ Routt is a no.1, and CJ can be a no.2 only problem is depth.
S - B+ Huff played well, and Branch is a great run stopping SS. + Michael Mitchell fills in well on nickel packages.

Special Teams A - Seabass is the strongest legged kicker in the league, brb knocking touchbacks through the goalposts, and hitting 60 yarders like nothing. + Lechler too.

If rookies + 2nd year guys play like they are looking...10-6 and playoffs.

single most impressive over-inflated homer thread ive seen in awhile.

look at all these 'A++' grades.

The only teams that deserve A+ ranks are: QB: Brady, Brees, Peyton, Aaron.
    Detroits DL.
    Eagles CB corps.
Thats it. GTFO with this 'our O line is made up of 5 HOFrs' homer talk.

QB: A- Vick established himself as a top tier QB last year and looked good in his one series against the ravens, Young has mobility on his side but is a headcase and can perform well at time.
RB: A- McCoy is one of if not the best receiving running backs in the league, he also rushed for 1000+. Brown is a great back up, and is going to be key in the short yardage game and gives us another tool in the wildcat.
    WR: A
TE: B Celek had a great year the year before Vick took over, he was injured last year and didn't really get targeted when he came back. Vick will most likely use him more this year when he's flushed out of the pocket.
OL: C Watkins should help us out, but our line is still a a big question mark.
DL: A+ one of the best lines in the league now
LB: D- Can't give my boys an F, but yeah, rookie middle linebacker, week OLBs makes for a terrible LB core, if Matthews shows even a glimmer of his brothers talent then that would be good
CB: A++++ Best CB core on paper in the league hands down. Arguably the best CB in the league in Aso, definitely the best coverage back, and then Samuel arguably the best route jumper/hawk or w.e you wanna call him in the league. DRC as our 3rd CB...
S: C- Nate Allen is still unproven and young but he did show some signs of potential before he got injured.

    Arizona Cardinals

QB: In between C+ and B-. I don't know how good Kolb will be, but from what I have seen I don't think he will be awful or great, somewhere in between.

RB: B-. I don't know wtf Beanie Wells will do this year, but it doesn't matter because Ryan Williams is the truth. Reminds me so much of DeAngelo Williams. Same size, same running style, same speed (not elite top end speed but they are quick), same hair, hell even the same number. If Beanie runs like he did in his rookie year then they will be a great combo. They compliment each other much better than Beanie and Hightower did, they had the same running style.

WR: B+. If Larry Fitzgerald weren't a god I'd rank this lower. We don't have a proven #2 at this point, but we have a few #3 guys that could possibly step up in Doucet and Roberts. Then there's some deep sleepers in Stephen Williams and DeMarco Sampson that could make an impact.

TE: B+. Todd Heap is back home and can still ball, easily the best TE the cards have in god knows how long. Also picked up Jeff King from Carolina who is one of the better blockers at TE in the league and they drafted Rob Housler another freakishly tall and athletic (4.4 speed) TE that could make some plays later in the season.

    OL: C-. About that.

DL: B. Dockett and CC are great ends. Big Dan Williams just needs to get his fatass in shape so he's not dying after two snaps and they will finally have a run stuffing mammoth at NT.

LB: C. Lots of young potential, but potential only gets you so far. I am happy with Stewart Bradley and Daryl Washington inside, but there are big question marks at OLB which is one of the more vital parts of a 3-4 D. No pass rush = problems. I think O'Brien Schofield plays well this year and should be getting more snaps than Porter, but only time will tell. LOLB will be an issue, don't think Sam Acho will make much noise as a rookie and while Clark Haggans is solid, I'd like more from that position.

CB: C+. Patrick Peterson has tons of potential, but will most likely be starting off playing nickel. Richard Marshall was a good signing for Horton's system who should play well and Toler has the tackling and physicality you want but will need to improve his coverage skills. AJ Jefferson is a dark horse right now, undrafted FA last season who is tall and athletic and played very well on the 1st string D vs oakland. If the talent Jefferson showed isn't a mirage and PP progresses similarly to how DRC did, this unit will be solid and can easily outperform my C+ rating.

S: B+ when healthy. Kerry Rhodes was incredible last season, easily the team's best player on defense. A-Dub was a huge liability in coverage last season, but that's part injury and part billy davis being a fukking idiot throwing him in man coverage vs elite TE's. Dub tore his bicep, so it's not really known exactly how long he is going to be out. I really want to see him in the new DC's scheme. Huge liability in man coverage, but is serviceable in zone and is a monster stuffing the run and terrorizing QB's.

S/T: A. Feely is the man, Ben Graham is a great punter who should bounce back and pin opponents in the 20 all day long (since the offense won't be allergic to the opponents side of the field, he doesn't have a lechler like boot), and LaRod Stepehens-Howling had the most kick return yards in the NFL last year. And we got the man beast PP returning punts.

    edit:
Started this before 21C posted his (was doing some FF mocks) and didn't see it, almost exactly the same ratings.

    Packers.

    QB= A++ A-rod nuff said

RB= C+, Grant is alwaysserviceablebut Starks has potential to raise this.

    WR=A+ true #1, a 1.5, and two # 2's plus Randall Cobb whose had a great preseason.

TE= A- I expect Finley to be amazing this year but we lack a great blocking TE

OL B- Good pass protectors, 1 good run blocker.

D-Line= B Raji is probowl caliber, Pickett is reliable, This grade could hinge a full latter either way depending on Mike Neal, Hes shown potential but must be healthy, Good depth at DE.

ILB B-, Hawk is servicable, Bishop looks like a playmaker.

    OLB=A- Claymaker.

DBS= A 3 probowlers and the best nickle in the league. Morgan Burnett has good range and looks on path to be a good player, thought he needed to work on his tackling but if the first preasonon game is a sign of things to come then im not worried.

Special teams. D-- until further notice. Havent had a KR for TD in over a fuarking decade. Missed multiple GW kicks last year. Very happy about the new kickoff rule, Should hide this weakness.t

    I'll bite

    Atlanta Falcons

QB- B+ Matt Ryan is a rising star but needs to win a few playoff games before bumping him into the A- Range

RB- A- Turner is a sledge hammer and a top 2-5 NFL RB in terms of yardage year in and year out in the league. Snelling has proven himself to be as capable as Turner when he has gone down in the past.

WR- B+ with A+++ potential in the very near future. Roddy White is one of the top 3 WR's in the NFL today. Julio Jones has been impressive and explosive all throughout training camp and the preseason. If he can live up to his hefty price tag and use his elite size 6'4 220 with 4.3 speed he could form one of the best WR tandems of all time next to Roddy White.

TE- B Tony Gonzalez is an all pro but is slowly on the decline, but even on the decline he is still a top 10 TE in the leauge.

OL- B Solid across the board with the only below average starter being LT Sam Baker who looks great at times but sometimes struggles in pass protection. Excellent unit in terms of run blocking

DE- B+/A- John Abraham is a proven force at LDE with multiple 14-16 sack seasons, Ray Edwards is an above average starter at RDE registering 8.5 sacks in the two past seasons. Both DE's are good agaist the run as well.

DT- C+ Above average at stuffing the run but outside of Babs the rotation of Jerry/Peters at DT neither has shown to be dominant however Jerry is in his second year of recovery off knee surgury and is showing flashes of why he was a fiirst round draft pick.

MLB A- Curtis Lofton is a hammer and an excellent run stuffer easily a top 10 MLB in the NFL, he's only average in coverage though.

OLB C+ When Sean Weatherspoon went out with an injury the teams nickle package suffered greatly. Nicholas and Peterson are good for depth and versatility but they are mearly adequate starters nothing extrodinary.

CB - B- Brent Grimes is a pro bowler who is finally getting the respect he deserves across the league big time playmaker is pass coverage, Dunta a former pro bowler has been solid but isnt quite the playmake Grimes is, however Dunta is a great tackler and is great in run suport. NB and our 4th Corner are going to be bigtime issues for Atlanta this year, Owens gets beat like a red headed step child and D Franks is a 1 year old unproven player.

SS - B+ William Moore is a rising star, after missing his rookie season with a knee injury he came back with avengence a big hitter with above average speed and great ballskills led the NFC in interceptions for the saftey position last year, has pro bowl potential.

FS - C+ DeCoud took a step back last year will let faster recievers get behind him in coverage.

ST- A- Weems is a pro bowl returner and our kicker is accurate and clutch our only weakness would be noone is a proven homerun returner threat outside of Weems.

Overall Team Grade A-/B+ This team will go as far as Matt Ryan and the Defense can take them.

Qb B+ - flacco has won playoff games every year he's been in the nfl, but he can't beat a ben roethlisberger led steelers. I think this is the year he does it. If so he can move up to an A

RB B+ - ray rice is probably the best receiving back in the league but his rushing totals slipped last season. With the addition of vonta leach, expect those numbers to rise, he has A+ potential

Oline C+ - oher is a top 2 RT but has struggled on the left side. Two probowl caliber guards can't boost an aging center and the lack of a rt.

Wr A - boldin just got better. Lee evans' deep threat ability allows boldin to do what he does best. Lee evabs as a #2 is also a massive boost to this wr group

TE C - its a c because it remains to be seen. Two 2nd year guys being pushed into starter roles. Higg potential however

Dline A- -ngata is the best dlinemen in the game. No question. The question is at the other end position. Terrence cody will be clogging up the middle of the line. Goodnight sweet running attack

Lbs A+ - the goat ray lewis, top lolb t.sizzle, and healed up sergio kindle look to have the leagues premier lb squad

Dbs B - ed reed is a goat but other than that there is a lot of youth. Jimmy smith looks to be the nnamdi clone everyone thought he would be but only time will tell

    Packers

QB: (A+) Aaron Rodgers, enough said.

RB: (B-) The packers ypc dropped .5 last year after the loss of Ryan Grant and Aaron Rodgers was our 2nd leading rusher last year. Despite Grant not being spectacular, he was always really solid and should help take some pressure off the passing game. Brandon Jackson is gone, but he was nothing more than a 3rd down back (albeit a good one, especially at blocking). The Kuhn is back but will see less carries with Grant, Starks and Green getting almost all of them I would assume.*

WR: (A) Greg Jennings is the obvious stud of the group. Donald Driver is aging, but can still make great catches and plays. Jordy Nelson came up huge in the SB and I hope he uses that to play with more confidence and aggressiveness this year. Didn't expect to get James Jones back, but if he can make the routine catches, finish plays and hold onto the ball this rating could be even higher. Cobb is looking explosive as well and should/will be the #5 receiver and Kickoff Returner.

TE: (B+) Finley is in the last year of his contract and needs to prove that he can put it together for a whole season which he has been unable to do thus far. This rating could be an A or better if he stays healthy. I see huge things from him this year.

OL: (B) The progression of Bulaga and Sherrod (If/when he replaces Clifton at LT) will play a huge part in the packers success this year. Sherrod is looking to be the starter at LG, but that will not be his end position. Overall unity on the offensive line in the 2nd half of the year along with great play from Josh Sitton helped the packers pass protection give Rodgers time to work his magic.

DL: (B) The loss of Cullen Jenkins hurts, but with BJ Raji playing at a pro bowl caliber level and Ryan Pickett being solid they should be alright. Howard Green was a great pickup late last year and should be a solid anchor when he is inserted into the game.*

ILB: (C) AJ Hawk hasn't been worthy of the #5 pick but nonetheless was consistent last year. Desmond Bishop is a hard hitter and had 8 passes defensed along with 103 tackles last year. Depth is pretty poor at this position with Rookies and 1st and 2nd year players fighting for jobs.

OLB: (A) Street Free Agent Erick Walden made some big plays down the stretch last year, but also missed some key tackles (a huge one on a Michael Turner TD run in the playoffs off the top of my head). Him and Frank Zombo (who played solid, but unspectacular last year) will compete for the job opposite Clay Matthews. Brad Jones is coming back from injury and will provide nice depth.

CB: (A) Tramon has slowly become the best CB on the Packers which is no slight to Charles Woodson who never seems to age and is extremely versatile. Sam Shields came out of nowhere last year and should continue to progress learning behind one of the best CB duos in the game. Jarrett Bush has all the measurable's but just needs to get his head right and put it all together.*

S: (A-) Nick Collins is a perennial pro bowl player and one of the best at his position. Morgan Burnett should assume the SS job after having his rookie season cut short after just 4 games. Will look to build off his solid performances last year. Charlie Peprah is serviceable as a backup.*

    Bengals:

QB - D I'm slightly hopeful here, Dalton went 11/15 after the initial INT against the lions.
RB - A- I'm looking for Ced to have an awesome year esp with Dalton's inexperience.
WR - B+ AJ Green is the real deal and Simpson has great athleticism, ship is always reliable.
OL - F They looked downright terrible against Detroit.. that being said Detroit has a monster D-line so I'm hoping they look better next game
DL - C they are okay here, nothing special but not terrible, i'd def like to see some more pressure up front.
LB's - C- Only legit LB at the moment is Maualuga and he's no all-star yet.
CB's - C Leon Hall is def legit, but are very thin after him. Unless Packman gets healthy quick this will be a weak point for sure.
S - D no standout players here, just servicable ones.

QB=A- manning is fine, but back ups make me nervous
RB=C addai injury prone and donald brown has been dissapointing
WR=B wayne getting older, garcon has power and speed but drops too many balls, gonzalez been injured past two season, collie a concussion away from hanging it up
TE=B+ clark great reciever, but not much blocking, same with his back up tamme
OL=C need to see something out of the rookie tackles, guards need to open some running lanes
DL=B freeney and mathis great pass rushers, but not great against the run. dt's need to stop the run and get some pressure up the middle
LB's=C not great, but not bad either. waiting to see what ernie sims can do
CB's=C powers is good but gets injured too much, kevin thomas missed his rookie year last year, but seems fluid and athletic and goot tackler in the run game. tryon good nickel corner and lacey and rucker add depth
S=C bethea provides the goods, bullitt coming back from injury, not much depth behind them

    Buccaneers:

QB: A. Freeman had a 25/6 TD/INT ratio in just his second season and throwing to rookies. Another year under his(and their) belts, I think the sky is the limit.

OL: B-. Blount is a horse, but he struggles in short yardage/receiving/blitz pickup. He'll be good for 1200-1300 yards on the ground, but he doesn't offer everything and I don't know how much faith I have in Kregg Lumpkin or an old Earnest Graham.

WR: B-. Mike Williams will only be better, but after that it's a bit dodgy. Benn and Briscoe have ridiculous potential though, and if one of those guys plays up to it, this could be a higher grade. Long term this group is set, just don't think those 2 are "there" yet. Stroughter had a great rookie season 2 years ago but Freeman doesn't seem to look his way much.

OL: B. Penn is a stud at LT, and I like Lee and Joseph as run blockers. Faine is reliable. Zuttah is super flexible with what he can do. Larsen is solid. Trueblood is really the only legitimately weak link.

TE: B. Winslow is in good form and has a good rapport with Freeman. Luke Stocker has potential to make noise as a rookie if healthy.

DL: C+ with a potential A. Impossible to say until we see them. Bucs went DT with the first 2 picks last year(McCoy, Price) and DE this year(Clayborn, Bowers). I like Bowers as a DROY candidate. Roy Miller is actually a pretty decent rotational guy in the middle. Michael Bennett and Kyle Moore have low ceilings. Really just depends how well the younguns play. McCoy showed up big last year right before his injury.

LBs: C. Black is underrated. Foster is an unknown commodity. Hayes isn't spectacular but isn't a liability. The only backup I like is Dekoda Watson who was damn good at FSU. Mason Foster will make or break this unit.

CB: D. Talib may or may not be facing a suspension. Biggers played well in relief last year, but I want to see more before I feel comfortable. Barber is 179 years old and can't really be trusted in man situations. Myron Lewis is a wild card.

S: D with potental B-. I hate Sean Jones. He is the picture of ordinary. Cody Grimm has a good motor and plays hard, but he is limited in coverage. Lynch and Asante are nothing to write home about. The reason I say potential B-, if Tanard Jackson comes back, plays at his pre-suspension level, and starts with Grimm. Ahmad Black has a lot of potential, he's a playmaker but not ready yet.

S/T: C. We have the most expensive punter in the league. I do like Barth as a kicker. Return game is nothing exciting. Spurlock is serviceable.

QB: A - Say what you want, but Ben is a great QB.RB: B - Mendenhall is a good RB, but the depth isn't quite there.WR: B - Wallace and Ward have proven themselves, and Brown and Sanders will only continue to develop.OL: D+ - Pouncey brings it up a bit, but this line really blows.TE: C - I like Miller, but other than that, they're not really on par with some of the other TE's in the league.DL: A - Deal with itLB: A+ - Deal with itCB: D- - I hate this secondary, they need a good CB so Ike can play the #2, and they'd raise significantly.S: A+ - Deal with it

    Eagles

QB: A- - Screwed if/when Vick gets injured. When he's healthy....

Still Vince Young won games in Tennessee, I think he's the best back up available anyways

RB: A - McCoy is a beast top 8 in the league right now imo and he's just getting better. Started over Westbrook in '09 for the last few games and all last year when Westbrook was released, the team obviously has faith in him. He had a 1000+ yard season last year. Ronnie Brown pro bowl starter in Miami as a back up too.

WR: A - Jeremy Maclin and Desean Jackson + Jason Avant and Steve Smith

TE: B - Brent Celek was great with McNabb in '09 but was blocking a lot more this season for Vick rather than catching balls. Expect him to put up bigger numbers now that our OL should be healthy with that great coach they brought in.

OL: Not really sure how to grade OL because some starters last year were injured and a new coach, who is supposed to be the best btw, was brought in to strengthen this core.

D- Line: B+ - 2 Pro Bowlers (Cole & Babin) then players like Cullen Jenkins there too

LB: C+ - Our weakest link for sure. With Bradley released, rookie Casey Matthews is our starting MLB. Looks good in practice though, if he's anything like his bro he'll do good. Fukou is great though, always liked that dude

    CB: A+

Safety: B- Nate Allen is healthy @ SS. Lot of competition at FS, especially with Jarrad Page and Jaiquawn Jarrett. Both of them got interceptions and had a good game against the Ravens last week in preseason too. Hoping it's Jaiquawn Jarrett though, dude can hit. Brian Dawkins-esque in his college highlights.

    Detroits DL.
    Eagles CB corps.
Thats it. GTFO with this 'our O line is made up of 5 HOFrs' homer talk.
Eagles receiving corps consists of the most dynamic playmaker at the position, an upper echelon quality #2, and one of the most consistent slot receivers in the league, and just added another pro-bowl caliber talent who can contribute when he's healthy.. Our defensive line consists of two pro-bowl defensive ends and a pro bowl caliber defensive tackle. But w/e you say.

QB: C+ - While Garrard may not be the best or flashiest QB, he is decent enough to help the team win games, and his mobility is especially useful in our rushing attack (we run the option play, qb draws, etc with him). We also drafted Blaine Gabbert who will hopefully be our QB of the future so the arrow is pointing up at this position.

RB: A+ - Maurice Jones-Drew is a top 5 running back in the NFL, and his backup Rashad Jennings could definitely start on a few teams; he averaged over 5 ypc in his role last year and runs very hard.

WR: C- - Mike Thomas had a nice little season last year for a second year wr in a running offense and hopefully he can break out further this year, but the rest of our wrs are largely unproven. Jason Hill has flashed, but we'll have to see what he can do this season with the opportunity to start opposite Thomas. The slot man will be a rookie and the rest haven't done anything in the NFL yet.

TE: A+ - Marcedes Lewis is a probowler and caught 10 touchdowns last season. The crazy thing is that he is an even better blocker than receiver and easily one of the most complete tight ends in the league. His backup, Zach Miller can't really block at all but is a complete receiving mismatch.

OL: B - Eugene Monroe is an extremely talented LT and should reach the probowl this year if he continues to progress. Our center is getting a bit old but he can still play at a pretty high level. The RG is a very solid player and RT (if Britton can stay healthy) is also pretty solid. The one weak-link will be LG where we will be starting a rookie. If he plays well, this line can be very good.

DL: B - Terrence Knighton and Tyson Alualu form one of the best young defensive tackle tandems in the league. And being in their 3rd and 2nd years respectively, they should progress even further. Aaron Kampman if he can stay healthy is a very solid Defensive end and the other side will likely be Austen Lane, a 2nd year man who has showed a lot of potential. This line will be VERY good against the run, but the pass rush will still probably be lacking so I give it a B.

LB: B+ - Daryl Smith is one of the most underrated linebackers in football, the product of playing OLB in a 4-3. He is a tackling machine and makes very few mistakes. He is joined this season by FAs Paul Posluzny and Clint Session, both of whom are also tackling machines. This group of LBs will be greatly helped by the line in front of them and should stop the run very nicely. They will be a bit weaker against the pass however.

CB: D- - Our secondary is pathetic. Derek Cox has shown some flashes but is completely inconsistant. Rashean Mathis used to be a probowl cornerback but he is a shell of his former self. The nickleback will be a competition between a rookie and Drew Coleman. Not much to see here.

S: F----- - This group is pretty embarassing. It's truly so bad that we will be starting two strong safeties because our options at FS are even more pathetic. Both Dawan Landry and Courtney Greene are capable run defenders that will come up and make tackles, but neither is a sure cover man. Our secondary will be very ugly again this season...
I call it "Celebration". It's sexual, and violent...
