I have been doing really well for myself the last couple of months rtying to keep my calories under 2500. I have tracked and logged everyday what I eat but for the last week or so I start off eating good and end up going up to 3000. Eating fried chicken and apple dumplings and mexican food. I try to keep it within reason but I have been eating these FAT foods. Am I really hurting myself alot as long as I stay close to my maintence or am I beating myself up for nothing?

Beating yourself up for nothing. It's hard to predict what your body will do, but it will not hurt you in the long run. Enjoy your cheat foods and then get back into your normal routine. Where people fail is when they cheat once and continue to cheat everyday after that until they just stop caring.

I eat cheeseburgers everyday, and ice cream at least 3 days a week whether cutting or bulking. In either scenario, watching intake and eating a lot of fibrous veggies (in my case, broccoli and brussel sprouts) makes it workable. Ironically, if I want to have a day of mindless, high volume eating; I'll eat "healthy."
If you're cutting on, say, 2000 calories a day---having a "****ty" meal for 1600 or so calories, and then 400 calories of chicken and broccoli (that's gonna be a large meal) is gonna work just as well as 2000 calories of all "wholesome" foods.
Anyway, eating at maintenance with all that high energy food probably set your body right to get back to your diet.Don't Drink, Don't Smoke, Watdo you do?
