I have a fish allergy and fish oil allergy it seems. Any vegetarian/vegan lifters know an alternative to it? Is flax-seed oil the best alternative? Thanks.
Also other than protein and food I am taking: 1 multi-vitamin per day, 10-15g l-glutamine, some painkillers also. Anything else you suggest?

Wrong section, but yeah flaxseed oil is a good alternative, just more expensive. I would also try to get off the painkillers if possible.

Flaxseed is not an effective way to increase DHA because we are not good at converting ALA to DHA. *Thats why animal sources or algae (the only ways to get pre-made DHA0 are best. *
^^ I wrote a 30 page paper on this exact topic, can provide dozens of scientific studies if I have to.

try krill oil. heard it absorbs better into the body based on chemical structure or something like that. also flaxseed is good and rice bran oil.

while rice bran oil is probably the best seed cooking oil you can find (seems to denature less than soy corn canola ect and has better micronutient value... plus they have to do less gross stuff to make it edible) its still like 40% linoleic acid almost zero percent ALA as far as I remember. *So it would be a step in the wrong direction if he's trying to influence his 6:3 ratio

This^^
also, krill oil is completely unpractical considering the amount you have to consume to equal the benefits of fish oil compared to the outrageous prices you'll have to pay for it.
edit: and EPA is another huge concern as the body seems to convert it from ALA even more poorly than DHA and there are simply no vegetarian sources of the stuff
