I'm 23. I've been training for almost a year and a half. I follow an upper/lower split that takes a few principals from westside training. Currently bulking. Diet isn't super clean, at this point I'm just trying to put on weight.
I've watched my numbers go up over the last couple months, but I've been fighting with fatigue in the gym, and I'm really hoping that Amino-X can make a difference. I guess the reduced cardio along with extra weight has really taken away from my conditioning.
I weight train 4 days a week. And will be doing cardio 1-2 days per week depending on recovery.
I've tried a few BCAAs before and here is what I'm looking for:
Tolerable taste. Doesn't have to be fantastic, but I wanna drink it without any trouble.
Decent Mixability. In my experience, BCAAs do not mix up. At all. So If i can find one that mixes and doesn't clump up, I'm going to be extremely happy.
Noticeable difference. Not one of BSN's priciest supplements, but I still want to see a difference in my training before I put money out to purchase in the future.
Really excited about this log, and I hope people follow along. Willing to accept constructive criticism on my routine, or anything else about my training.
Eye candy for following:
Couple current goals, that I feel like I can achieve in the next month while logging:
205 Bench (I know my bench is weak)
280 Squat
Add a decent amount to my deads. Just started them a couple weeks ago, so I've got lots of room for progress.
Hit 165 pounds.

Great start B! Which flavors did you select, do you plan to take it intra or post? I've been taking it intra with 2 scoops in 20 oz of cold water, but the choice is yours. As long as you remember to mix it (cooking spoon, etc.) about 5-6 stirs before sealing the shaker, all clumps, powder will be completely dissolved.
What's on tap for today?

Hey Matz.
I plan on taking it intra. But because of me not getting the package until this afternoon, my first dose will be a post. I've always liked taking BCAA's as intra. It's nice having something other than water to sip on and it really seems to help with my endurance if I do that. Maybe it's just the extra time between sets that I spend rehydrating, but either way it works.
Blue Raz and Watermelon. Looking forward to both. BSN Blue Raz = Awesome. So I can't wait to get home tonight.
It's upper power day for me. So heavy (for me) bench. Then some pullups, row machine (the seated row cables are out of commission right now, gym is remodeling. Definately miss it. This machine just isn't the same). Probably some dips and curls. Really need to get a dip belt. BW dips are boring.

Day 1
Yesterday was an upper body day. I think I'm going to start a 3x5 routine for my bench. I've hit a plateau and been stuck for a while now.
Anyway my workout looked like this roughly, didn't remember all of my weights, wasn't the most organized day.
4 minutes walking/jogging on treadmill
Flat BB Bench
Pullups
1 set of dips then decided to do DB presses
DB Presses
Row Machine
Shoulder Press Machine
Not a really long workout. Tried to lift heavy. I'll start logging my weights on today.
I didn't get to take my Amino-X until after my workout. So I can't really say much about it's effects. I will say that I really enjoyed the taste. BCAAs usually taste pretty bad, and don't mix well. Impressed with how well it mixed. And my girl even asked for a drink because it "looked good". She never tries my supps, but said this one didn't taste bad and that she'd even drink it in the gym. Which lead to me explaining that she doesn't work out hard enough to need it. Should've left that alone
Today is squats, deads, and some ab work. My favorite day of the week.

Good start and great goals for the next month. I see one of your goals is to get to 165lbs. How much are you weighing today? Good luck man.
Matz, I'm gonna jump right in to two scoops intra-workout... Can I be sure that I won't be wasting it by taking two scoops? Are aminos one of those things that your body just pees out anything that it doesn't use? Aminos are reletively new for me so I don't know how much I you body can benefit from before it becomes wasteful.

AMINOx intake: How much is too much?
Sup guys, sorry I'm just seeing this now..
You really don't need more than about 10g - 20g of aminos per training session. The amount per scoop is 10g so two scoops is a good amount, without being considered "too much" where your body wouldn't be able to fully absorb and utilize them. This being said when taking into consideration the average training time. Also, just to clarify: the label says 14.5g per scoop, and from that 10g is the aminos.
Hope this helps?

Day 2 - Heavy Lower Day
Leg day motivation: Today is my Heavy Lower body workout. And I do ab work as well. Routine: Squats Oblique Twists Calf Raises on leg press Weighted situps Deadlifts (will edit numbers/sets in after my workout) Wanted to give everyone a fell for what my typical food and supplements look like for a day. Upon waking I do 16oz whole milk, and a multi. Around 8 a.m. I have bacon, 2 eggs, cheese, on an english muffin with 8 oz of 2% milk (what they have at work) Lunch is typically 1.5-2 cups of lettuce with 2 small chicken breasts and cheese with either honey mustard or thousand island. With 8 or 16 oz of milk. I snack on other things throughout the day at work: More milk. Trail mix. Occasional protein shake. And on leg days I usually have 2 lunches (leftovers from the night before) Post workout I have 16oz of milk, 1/4 cup oats, 1 scoop of ON whey. Usually pop another multi, fish oil, and whatever post supp I have. Dinner: Always a meat, some pasta/rice, and a veggie. Typically steak, chicken, burgers, rice or macaroni, green beans or brocolli and corn. I eat basically the same stuff every day. My supps for the duration of this log will be a generic multi, fish oil, NO Xplode taken 30 minutes pre workout, and Amino X taken as an Intra. ON whey after. Side note: Tried the strawberry syntha 6 (thanks again!!) today. Absolutely love it. 10x better than my ON strawberry. And eye candy for following:

Weekend Update
Friday was leg day. Had a great workout and felt good up until the end.
Definately felt the difference in endurance, I'm normally crapped out by the time I finish squats. But I had some energy left for the rest of my routine, and added a little to the bar on my deadlifts. Just started deadlifting about 3-4 weeks ago, so I'm only at like 200 pounds at the moment. Trying to get my form down before going heavy, don't want an injuries. Either way I felt good, and I'm feeling stronger on the lift already.
Saturday I went into the gym for a cardio session, and did a few sets on the glute machine. Helped loosen my quads up a little. Then I did some stretching. It was really nice having amino-x while running. Really seems to have made a difference over water. I wasn't completely spent at the end of my session.
Loving it so far. Doing an upper body workout this afternoon and I'll write down my numbers.

Patiently waiting for 3:30 so I can lift. Found a nice/cheap power rack, with oly bar, 300 pounds of plates, and a bench on craigslist.
Might be starting the home gym sooner than I thought.
Worked on the new house for a while yesterday. Was walking in the back yard and near the fence there was a huge rock that I'd guess weighs about 80 pounds. Hello free (light) atlas stone.
Really hoping I can get the equipment for a good price, I'd love to start training at home, and start incorporating more olympic and overhead lifts.

Upper Day
Had an awesome workout yesterday. I felt pretty good all the way thru. I took 1 scoop of NO about 30 before, and then 2 scoops of Amino-X intra.
Routine:
Flat BB Bench Warmup sets. Then 3 sets of 165x5
Shrugs 1 Set 105x12 2 sets of 155x8
Lat Pulldowns Don't remember exact numbers. My working set was with 140 tho.
1 Set of Dips while I was doing pulldowns
DB presses 50sx12, 55sx10
Row Machine Don't remember numbers on this one. Gym is remodeling so it's not the normal machine I use.
Shoulder Press Machine 90x10, 115x10, 125ish x 5
DB Hammer curls 25s x 20, 30s x 14
I got a lot of stuff crammed into a short time. I didn't feel like I needed a lot of time in between sets. Interested to see how next week goes, my lifting partner will be back, and we always have much longer workouts. Next week will really be what I guage the endurance difference with.
Loving it so far. Amino X mixes much better than any BCAA I've taken before. No nasty clumps of dry powder floating on the top. I've literally choked on BCAA powder before when it didn't mix up, pretty much inhaled dust.
And a pic to keep people coming back

I got a home gym and it's nice for the convenience but I still like the motivation I get from actually going to the gym too, plus the increased room to workout since my area is a bit cramped. That deal looks pretty good though. I know what you mean about choking on the amino cloud too, I hate those ones.

2 hours out from the workout. Looking forward to deadlifting.
Routine may be a little off next week, my workout partner comes back, so we're gonna max on the big 3 on Monday. He's been gone for 6 weeks or so, we wanna see who progressed the most. He's about 190 but we stay neck and neck on lifts, usually within 10 pounds of each other.
