    What happens to Extra Carbs

I'm eating below my TDEE by about 20% and I'm wondering, despite being at a caloric deficit, what happens the excess carbohydrates within the body?

I Lift weights and run every other day for 20 minutes at a stready pace. So I calculated my carbs as 2.5 * 142 LBM as directed in the stickies. ACtually, the stickies don't specifiy whether or not to multiply the 2-3 by total body weight or LBM so I just assumed it was LBM because that's what needs support.*

I would say, as long as your diet is in some sort of balance- it shouldn't effect your cut. Just be eating lower cals or lose fat.*

so if I eat more than 2.5 * LBM... more than my body requires... but at the same time not go over 20% minus TDEE I'll be ok and continue to burn fat tissue?

Yes, your body uses excess protein and carbs as its primary fuel source, if you are eating 20% under your TDEE then you have expended more energy than your diet has supplied you so you take the remaining energy from your fat stores. Your macro breakdown doesn't dictate your weight loss, your deficit does.

Your body burns them for calories for activities such as breathing, thinking, blinking, producing heat. Most people call this living.
