What is the purpose of chains w/ box squats? Seems box squats emphasize the bottom of the squat, but using chains takes that away????? This advanced training stuff goes over my head.My current log

Box squats emphasize different stuff depending on the height of the box. My ROM for squats is long and I usually get stuck after I get out of the hole.
I'm trying to use the chain for accommodating resistance as I come out of the hole.
I did the timed intervals just to work on a little muscular endurance.Better Body Sports
