    Meal Replacement post Workout

I am starting to workout again with the goal of losing about 15 lbs. and adding some lean muscle at the same time.

I only have time to workout early in the morning. After I get done working out I do not have time to return home for a meal. I have looked at those meal replacement bars, but from what I have read those high protein bars are mostly candy more or less.

Should I have a meal replacement shake? One that is a powder that I could just mix w/ water? Should I just boil some eggs and eat the egg whites?

Sorry for the novice question, but I thought I would at least try here first. If I need to provide more information please let me know. Thanks

Answer me this honestly. Do you know what your total daily macronutrient targets are?

No, but I am willing to try to figure that out if I knew how.

I have been traveling quite a bit lately and just got to read the stickies on the forum. I have determined that I need to eat around 2,800 cal. per day to maintain my weight of 185 lbs. So if my goal is to lose 10 to 15 lbs I should cut that cal. intake by about 15%, so that puts me at 2,400 cal. total per day.

So that being said I would like to try to find something that I can eat that I can make at the house before I leave in the morning, and then slam down after I get done working out. Whether that be a bar, shake or pre made shake. I was just looking for some suggestions. Thanks for the help and guidance.

You could train fasted if you wanted to. Pre-workout nutrition is not important in the context of a well-balanced diet.

You could make something the night before.. Shakes are personal preference. Some find them satisfying, others don't. Have something you enjoy & helps you meet your calorie & macro needs
