    Is it possible to gain 5 lbs of muscle in a month?

    I weight 135 lbs right now, I workout 3 times a week ; following a plan on this website.
    My daily calories intake is about 2700 ; ~130g of protein.

    I think the most you'd gain would be 2-2.5lb. of muscle and 2-3lb. of fat. Also, 130g for a 135lb. man isn't enough. You need 1-1.5g/lb. or ~135-200g of protein. 2700 calories sounds more like maintenance at 135lb., but I guess it just depends on your activity level. What's your BMR?*

    Ka0s :In my experience, doing heavy barbell squats, bench presses, deadlifts, military presses, rows, etc. builds no significant muscle mass.
    What you need to really get big is a solid routine which focuses on light weights and cable movements to really force blood into those muscles and get that deep burn & powerful contraction

    Yeah I agree... unless your on the ole juice then it would be near impossible to put on 5 pounds of solid muscle. Thats on average a little over a pound a week which is what you should be gaining of mass with muscle. Not solid muscle.
