    what olympic sport can you start late and be competitive

    ...excluding sports like bobsledding or whatever which is nearly impossible to get into.


    I am guessing maybe judo, if you got some decent foundation and strength

    i dunno pretty tough to say brah.. in for answers,

    they say it takes roughly 10,000 hours of training to compete at a professional level at any given sport, 10,000 hours is 3hours+ a day everyday for 3 years straight(pretty much) so round that upto 4 years for rest days etc. and your just begining to compete at pro level, i started my sport competively at 12 and im pro now

    There are many olympic sports that aren't very physically taxing and can be taken up very late in life... such as shooting or archery. *Many olympic champions in these sports are middle aged. *Tho I think you know soon after taking these sports up if you have a talent for them or not...

    probably pure endurance sports since you reach your stamina "prime" much later like mid to late 30's and it lasts much longer than say your fast twitch sprinting prime, so something like cycling or long distance running
