Chemistry checking in. Wish I could have gotten it in philosophy since I find it extremely interesting, but I knew I would have 0 job prospects. Some people just do it anyways.

Our countries shifting to a services economy, so a lot of the skills,such as processing information and interpreting it, learned and developed in social science majors are actually very practical and valuable to employers.

Architecture brah checking in (math, science, art, all combined) and have a 50/50 shot at getting a job upon graduation.. Still have not had an internship (on 5th/last year)
Every brah in construction science has a $50k+ job lined up, and still another semester to go
Was originally computer science my fresman year but couldn't handle calc 4 and up

If you actually go to a very good school, majoring in science or math is extremely hard for some people. Majored in sports medicine and had to take a lot of bio/chem/math classes. Hard as fuk with some professors. Not everyone is gifted in those areas.

I got a history major and now have a job in a bank with a lot of room to advance. Previous work experience and interview quality is just as important as your degree. Stop the STEM trolling. Yes they are good majors, but if I were an employer and I had to choose between a STEM major with aspergers or a history major with alpha confidence and a desire to learn, I'd choose the history major every time. You can teach job skills, you can't teach people skills.

Econ major here. Really interesting, good core skills(analysis, reasoning, maths, communication) and above all I really enjoyed it. I don't see what the problem is

really.... a freshman 1 credit hr course should cover job searching and deciphering qualifications.. what to do to get that.. because really even with a good degree, in the wrong area or bad timing you can become stagnated (of course that's temp since you got a good degree unlike many)
