    Abdominal hernia and deadlift

Is it possible to get injuried (abdominal hernia) by dead lift?

A hernia is a protrusion of tissue from one area of the body through the wall that contains it. The abdomen is a common place for hernias to occur. They may develop later due to increased abdominal pressure pushing against a weakened area of muscle or its fibrous sheath (fascia). (http://www.bettermedicine.com/article/abdominal-hernia)

Internal pressure increase dramastically while dead lifting. Abs contract hard to create the valsalva maneuvre (or something like that...if I remember well in Starting Strength).

So...can dead lift cause abdominal hernia? I never heard anything like that. I heard that people can get hurt in the back, but I never heard anything about abdomen injuries.

    Any thoughts?

P.S. Im sick and Im unable to sleep, so I dont have nothing to do but asking weird question haha.
