I will be there Memorial Day weekend. Anyone interested in splitting for a cabana or a table?

this is a march 10th 2015 update (for future travelers to las vegas). This is specifically talking about nightlife
monday--->Marquee, XS
Tuesday--->Omnia, 1Oak, Drais
Wednesday--->Surrender, Light
Thursday--->Hakkasan, Omnia, Tao, Tryst, Drais
Friday/Sat--->any club
sunday--->Hakkasan, XS
Omni just recently opened up. They have big named DJs like Calvin Harris and Afrojack.
There are plenty of guest list resources. Nocovernightclubs.com has a free guest list for guys/girls. For guys, it has to be a 1/1 ratio, for girls it's free. If it's not a 1/1 ratio, you still get reduced cover charge
if you don't want to wait in line, buy presale tickets. You are guaranteed to get in
Food
best pizza-->grimaldi's pizza (between palazzo and venetian)
best buffet--->bacchanal buffet
best cheap food-->white castle(just opened), Fat burger, or any mainstream fast food chain
If you guys fly in, make sure you take a shuttle. Taxi's aren't worth it and they add an extra 3-4 dollars if they drive you to a strip hotel. Shuttles are usually $14 round trip. Taxi is usually $25 one way(you could be spending more money on alcohol/food/etc if u just took the shuttle)
Gambling. most ppl who end up gambling end up losing. Casinos are everywhere in the united states, you can gamble anytime when you get home bcuz of card rooms/indian casinos. If you must gamble, don't expect to win. The house ALWAYS wins. (believe me, i've been living here for 20 years)
going to vegas on the Weekend is WAYY more expensive than the weekday. keep that in mind. If you are going during the week (sunday-->thursdsay) you will save a chitload of money compred to going (friday-->sunday). Sunday--->thursday really isn't that bad, there's always things to do during the week if you know where to go.Last edited by MountainWest; 03-10-2015 at 07:16 PM.

No he's right, he wasn't a dik about it but I will be - you're not very smart and you shouldn't be giving out advice (srs). Your advice to have fun in vegas: don't gamble, find every discount, don't go when it's the most fun in order to save money. There's a difference between being smart with your money and ruining a fun weekend by saving $5 on transportation.
If you're going to Vegas, save some money and enjoy your time, don't cheap out. Be smart: bring girls if you can, don't eat at chitty expensive restaurants when there are loads of great food places that aren't overpriced, pre-game as much as you can.
If you want to save money, don't go to Vegas. If you want a half-ass vacation like Vegas is on the weekdays (relatively to weekends) go to fuking Reno.
Disregard this guy's advice.*Has to use a soundboard to order pizza crew*

Not trying to argue at all ... just correcting some things for the sake of people reading this thread as its designed to provide accurate information. If all that stuff above is your opinion just put a disclaimer at the top, but you started it off with "March 10th Update" as if its being issued by some Vegas Tourism Company or something
Plenty of times I've met a friend for a drink at bars inside the hotel, right next to the entrance to some of the most popular clubs, and when you are sitting there for an hour or more, sober, you see what some people try to get away with. Guys showing up wearing tennis shows is the most common, or girls thinking they automatically will walk in even though they are drunk and acting obnoxious as fukk. So many people get turned away and often they pull out their printed pre sale ticket and act like they should be walking in like a VIP. So your statement that you are guaranteed entry with a pre sale is not correct.

It's like telling people to go to the beach when it's raining because it'll be less busy lol. Anyways, anyone got last-minute advice for this weekend? Flying in with a few bros... gonna need to find girls in the day before we start hitting the clubs or else the line/cover will be a bish

Few options for girls during the day:
- Pool parties are the best bet this time of the year. I found the sloots were more ratchet during the day because they were wearing bikinis as opposed to night when they put a tonne of effort into their outfit and makeup that they don't want to ruin it
- Shopping. If they aren't sleeping or at the pool parties, you'll most likely find them shopping, as girls do. Go for a wander around Fashion Show Mall (opposite the Wynn), Planet Hollywood Miracle Mile or the Forum Shops at Caesars.

lmao the Riv ... it actually closes for good in May and they are imploding it so you are going to be part of history brah, enjoy !
Definitely taxi. Like I mentioned in a post above, because the Riv is right up the far north of the strip, the shuttle will most likely make 5 or 6 stops on the way to dropping you off. If time isn't much of an issue for you take the shuttle for sure, but just know it may take over an hour to get to your hotel.
If you do take the taxi option, the driver may try to long haul you via the I-15 and tell you its quicker, but its not. When you get in tell him to take Swenson and Paradise, not the 15 or LV Blvd. I used to live opposite the Riv and work at the airport so I'd drive that route every day.

lol area64yo why did you neg? Also, can you please direct me to what i said that was inaccurate?
All I did was misspell Omnia (omni) and helped ppl save money by booking during the week or taking a shuttle over a taxi. I also told ppl the best clubs to go out every night, so please area64yo, would you kindly direct as to what I said that was inaccurate?
PS the foods that i recommended is just my opinion, so you can disagree with that all you want.
@ branch0ng All you did was insinuate things just for the sake of being condescending. For example, you presumed that the ppl who take my advice will go in the club with tennis shoes and is super intoxicated. You are just adding that extra variable to discredit what i wrote
Anyway, i've been living here for 20+ years and I go out everyday and every night. I'm pretty sure i have way more experience than you regarding being "smart" while knowing where the best places to go.
about the gambling thing....i've met plenty of ppl who blew through $10-30 grand all because they gambled. Fact of the matter is, most ppl lose when they gamble and the feeling you get when you lose is NEVER good. Again, i wasn't black and white about what i wrote, obviously if you want to have fun, then have fun. I just prefer to have a smart way of handling things. If you want to gamble, then gamble, just be wary that you will probably lose majority of the time
funny, you claimed that you are not being a dik, yet giving unsolicited advice(to someone who didn't ask for it in the first lace) and being condescending IS BEING a Dik. of every time they claim they aren't being a Dik, they actually are. They are just saying that to mitigate it LOL.
=)
bottom line have fun, but at the same time BE SMART ABOUT IT.Last edited by MountainWest; 03-10-2015 at 05:38 PM.

I'm only speaking from experience (since i've been living in vegas for 20+ yrs)
I think cosmopolitan gives free margaritas if you gamble. Their margaritas are one of the best
Margaritas at O' Sheas is also good(it's a gem). If you want to play it safe, Go to Margaritaville
burgers? Gordon Ramsay Burgr and the Barrymore is really good hands down. Fatburger is good if you are on a budget.
If you go to In n out burger, makes sure to tell them to add little or no salt especially if you are getting a 4x4(4 cheese 4 burger patties), the saltiness really kills the taste of their burger(and believe me, if you get 4 patties, the saltiness is overwhelming), they already put a lot of spread sauce anyway.Last edited by MountainWest; 03-11-2015 at 11:41 AM.
