    your taking too much melatonin, you should only take about 3mg. taking more than 3mg can act as a stimulant, and melatonin only work for 30% of people. tomorrow don't take your medicine and drink till you fall asleep, that works good.

    yupp you're taking way too much melatonin. i take about 3mg and it works perfectly. they are a lot more expensive than melatonin but give some of the sleep supps a try - AI's 3Z worked really well for me when I got the sample.

    Large doses of melatonin can even be counterproductive: Lewy et al.[107] provide support to the "idea that too much melatonin may spill over onto the wrong zone of the melatonin phase-response curve" (PRC). In one of their blind subjects, 0.5 mg of melatonin was effective while 20 mg was not.

    pretty sure melatonin doesn't induce drowsiness, just helps you achieve deeper sleep once you're already sleeping

    Don't watch tv/computer before you go to bed.
    Don't take any caffeine/any other stims in the second half of the day.
    Drink warm milk before you go to bed.
    Take the 3mg melatonin

    You might have a reaction to something you are eating at night (Could be the meds), so monitor what you are eating and keep a log.

    1mg if melatonin is heaps for me. Anymore and I wake up groggy.
    Also bear in mind magnesium and zinc levels affect quality of sleep
