Im using a weight gainer, 35g protein in it

Not if it fits your macros.

You don't need a protein shake before you go to bed. Your body doesn't actually go catabolic overnight. Focus on hitting your daily macro and calorie totals and you will be fine.

Lol. Weights + food is what puts on muscle. OP might as well use the gainer, then not buy it again.
Whole food carbs = cheap
Supplement carbs = expensive
Whole food protein = expensive (sort of)
Supplement protein = cheap (whey)
That is why most people say to supplement protein, but gainers are a waste of money.IamJons Awesome workout log:

Whey is not useless before bed, per se. However, you do not need it before bed nor will you notice any additional benefits in taking it before bed as compared to any other time throughout your day.
Make sure you are consuming the proper amount of calories to ensure quality weight gain (read:muscle). His soul swooned slowly as he heard the snow falling faintly through the universe and faintly falling, like the descent of their last end, upon all the living and the dead.
