Man, y'all are gonna make me look like a puss! Haha I'm 6'4" and around 250.. Im looking to start playing football this fall, my senior year. Everyone has told me for years I need to play, but finally I've done something about it. I don't really lift, but used to bike, so I have leg muscle but that's about it. I need to get my physical so I can go to conditioning.
Where would y'all think id play?

10 good uses for salt
Just a pinch of it and it’s worth it We’re talking salt here Used throughout human history, mentioned often in the Bible, ubiquitous and cheap Mined from salt rocks and extracted from sea water, salt is… well, the “salt of the earth ” You can’t live without it healthily At the same time, you can’t live healthily with too much of it Get the balance right – in your food and in your live – and salt is worth it’s own weight
10 surprising good uses for salt
1 Deter ants
Sprinkle salt in doorways, on window sills and anywhere else ants use to sneak into your house It’s a sure way to keep them out!
2 Kill grass and weeds growing in cracks in your driveway
Tired of weeding your driveway? Sprinkle salt on the grass and pour very hot water over it Not only is this a highly effective way to kill unwanted plants, it’s also eco-friendly and cheap
3 Say goodbye to fleas
If your dogs have fleas, simply wash their doghouse and blankets in salt water If you’re worried your dogs may have brought fleas into your house, simply sprinkle your carpets lightly with salt and then brush it in Leave it for 12 hours and vacuum thoroughly
4 Pick up a dropped egg
If you drop an egg on the kitchen floor, sprinkle salt on the mess and leave it there for 20 minutes You’ll be able to wipe it right up
5 Clean up oven spills quickly
If a pie or casserole bubbles over in the oven, pour a handful of salt on top of the spill It won’t smoke, smell and, most importantly, will bake into a crust that makes the mess easier to clean once it’s cooled
6 Clean brown spots off your iron
Simply sprinkle salt on a sheet of waxed paper, slide the iron across it and rub lightly with silver polish Your iron will look like brand-new in no time
7 Remove stains from your coffee pot
Fill it with 1/4 cup of table salt and a dozen ice cubes Swish the mixture around, let it sit for half an hour, fill it with cold water and rinse Your coffee pot will look brand new
8 Keep your windshield frost-free
Dip a sponge into salt water and rub it on windows, and they won’t frost up even when the mercury drops below zero
9 Shell nuts more easily
Soak pecans and walnuts in salt water for a few hours before shelling them Doing so will make it easier to remove the meat
10 Drip-proof candles
If you soak new candles in a strong salt solution for a few hours, then dry them well, they won’t drip when you burn them emotorbikegames co uk]Motorbike games

The World’s Number 1 Killer
Heart disease is the number 1 killer for both males and females It kills a lot more people than ALL forms of cancer tumors put together In fact, it kills more people than war or accidents Cardiovascular diseases and ischemic heart disease cause more than 40% of all deaths, according to the World Health Organization
And it is an equal opportunity destroyer Everyone, everywhere, every time can have a cardiac arrest upgamesonline com ]up games online
Introducing the latest Misconceptions In Heart Problems… The World’s No 1 Killer:
Myth #1: Solely mature persons need to be concerned about their heart
What could certainly cause heart disease build up over the years Being a couch-potato, boredom, over-eating and simply not doing any exercise are typical improper habits that might begin in childhood Increasingly more medical doctors are starting to have sufferers of heart attacks in their 20's and 30's in place of sufferers generally in their 50's and 60's
Becoming fit and at the proper body weight is not going to make you immune to heart attacks Though, both exercising regularly and keeping the right body weight helps You still need to check your blood cholesterol and blood pressure levels A really good blood cholesterol (or lipid profile) range is below 200 A good blood pressure is 120/80
Myth #2: I’d feel unwell if I had high blood pressure levels or high cholesterol levels
They call these “silent killers” because they exhibit NO signals 30% of all adults have hypertension Of those, one-third do not know they’ve it
High cholesterol is a way of measuring the fats maintained through your bloodstream Fats may be dropped anywhere in your system, but tend to congregate around internal organs As well as your heart This predisposition may run in families So, even if you are at a good body weight and do not smoke cigarettes, have your cholesterol and blood pressure checked on a regular basis One check will not be sufficient thefunnyjokes co uk/funny_jokes/kids_jokes]kids jokes
Myth #3: Both males and females DON’T experience the same signals
Women and men CAN have the same indicators, however they usually do not Females have a propensity to have the subtler signs while males more often have the type of heart attacks you can view in the films But, both gender CAN have any signs or symptoms
These subtler warning signs, for example jaw achiness, nausea or vomiting, breathlessness and extreme fatigue, are more likely to get identified away “My jaw hurt merely because my lunchtime sandwich was on whole-grain bread and I was forced to chew very, very hard,” or , while clutching their stomach, “I should not have had that additional piece of pizza ” “Half of females do not have chest pain in anyway,” announces Kathy Magliato, a heart surgeon at California’s St John’s Health Center Put all the little signals together and listen to your system
Evidently, women and men might experience the “grab-your-chest-and-fall-down-gasping” type of cardiac arrest, but now you know, that isn’t the only way
Myth #4: Assuming that my sugar level is in check, Type 2 diabetes is not a heart threat
While keeping your sugar level with a proper range (80ml-120ml) keeps you healthier, just having the additional glucose in your body takes its toll on arteries You’ll need exercising and eating much healthier to help take control of your Type II diabetes, but don’t forget to check your blood pressure and bad cholesterol, too
Myth #5: My doctor would order tests if I were vulnerable to heart disease
Sometimes, we all ignore to tell the doctor the little aches we’re feeling The physicians, not knowing most of the things we think as unimportant, might pass over heart exams
“Mammograms and Colonoscopies are routinely recommended by doctors,” says Merdod Ghafouri, a cardiologist at Inova Fairfax Medical center in Virginia, [3] “and are very important, but heart scans commonly are not normally performed ” A heart scan can identify plaque build-up in your arteries before you even discover you’ve got a problem
Do you have the motor oil pressure and transmission liquid verified in your vehicle? Have other precautionary service done? Doesn’t your only heart require as much attention as your auto?thefunnyjokes co uk/]funny jokes

You're pretty damn big, so the coach will likely put you as a lineman. Unless you're really fast and agile and have good hands, then there're a lot of positions open to you. You need to focus on lifting heavy and getting some strength. Varsity football players are strong as phuck.

I have a friend who wants to play football next year as a senior. He's about 6'2 240 with maybe 20% bf. He benches 245, rows 275, squats 365, pulls 425, cleans 245, and push presses 225. He's surprisingly fast and agile for his size. He doesn't know sh*t about football, but our school pretty much sucks. Think he has a chance to start? As what position? Any pointers to give him?

Your friend is pretty damn big and strong. He'd probably be able to overpower most people, and if he has good speed like you said he'd be hard to bring down. I dunno brah, depends if he learns quickly and has good hands. If yes, maybe Tight End or Fullback? He'd have a good chance of starting as a lineman though I'd think.

gonna be a southmoar next season, hopefully I can skip JV and head straight to varsity. Coach says he wont hesitate to send 1 of us to varsity if we do some major work, since usually in our school they like to keep us together to build our team chemistry and stuff.
gonna try doing WR, I'm around 5'11 and run a 4.68 @ 160 lbs. I think I am almost physically ready to play varsity, but just not mentally ready , u know.

Do most schools do conditioning in the summer and do you lift at school in the summer if you do condition? Might join football team for freshman year and want to know the tips and things I should know?

Most schools do weight lifting and running during the summer. As far as things you need to know, just know your stuff about football, bro. Like what each position does, know plays, all that.

So Pumped!
I've been doing weight lifting and running for football for over a month for football. I'm going to try to play DL (tackle most likely) and maybe LB for the freshmen team. It's going to be a great season. My school takes football seriously, too. We were state champs a few seasons a go and went to semi-state last season. It's going to be great! Good luck everyone out there.

Maintaining the muscle mass will be difficult with summer conditioning.

Pretty pumped about football. Even though the headcoach I've had since 8th grade is leaving just before my Senior year will begin. Been playing tailback since I was a 5th grader, never looked back. Went from 130-180lbs in just a summer (+a month or two before summer) from the help of a lot of genetics when it comes to muscle mass a few years back, been working back up speed since then, while training with asthma. One of the top ranked RBs in my district, (was 2nd team all district last year), and up there for the All State votes. Gonna be a good year.
