And more to the OP's point,
It doesn't matter if every man and woman in California and New York voted for Obama. It won't effect those states electoral votes as they will break democrat anyways.
Elections are decided in the battleground states. Places like Ohio, Florida and Iowa.
And it's in these places Obama is losing a lot of support.

Actually this is probably the next republican talking point and you can probably guarantee it will come up election time. However, the whole point is moot. Really it's going to be on the economy.
The funny thing is that it's possible that losing the election in 2012 might actually benefit democrats more than republicans.

if it's him vs Mittens then I hope he does win, if only because I have the faint hope that he was waiting for his second term (after building his 'legacy') to work on socially progressive legislation and pulling out of the middle east instead of the crap he's pushed for the last few years... not that there's much indication of that sadly
Unless candidate Obama 2012 believes he has to appease the old folks by running on a Just Say No and keep bombing dem ragheads platform, in which case fck him and fck us all because we all lose.

Obama probably won't get Penn, Ohio, Indiana, Michigan (Prbly not), or Florida. If he wins, it'll be a razor slim AND unemployment will have to be dropping.

You have a strong history of calling the outcome of presidential elections.
As to the OP... I already typed up a short reply in another thread regarding the odds of several republican canidates of running against him, how they could be brought down, and what methods they would need to be competative. In short, Mitt looks strongest on paper but Evangelicals elect Republican canidants and they are hateful bigots and view Mormons as Satanists... Perry might pull a Dubya if and only if he downplays his extremism to come across as a moderate or progressive and smears Obama heavily. All the others are extremist, and scare moderates thus have no chance. The far left and far right do not elect presidents, the moderates do. Republicans stop trying to run extremists you cannot beat Obama (a moderate) with one... bad idea.

Doesn't matter, the MOSSAD will control him like a puppet, just like they control everything. Just about everyone in this thread is a MOSSAD agent. Every single thing is under their control. When I post, when I eat, when I sleep, when I jack off, when impregnate bishes, and when I die.
THEY'RE IN MY HEAD AGAIN OH GOD WHY

If the GOP had a potential candidate who both (1) wouldn't alienate independents and (2) would be able to get through the primaries, then they would have a shot. Seems like every potential candidate either alienates everyone outside the GOP base (Bachmann, Palin) or will be eaten by his own in the primaries (Romney).
Romney will likely win but Evangelicals sure seem to dislike him because of his Mormonism and it's so easy to connect Romneycare with Obamacare. Without a candidate to rally votes, looks like Obama will not have a very hard time getting re-elected, especially if the economy starts to improve within the next year.

I think it will be Obama vs Romney. Not sure who will win, but I think it will be real close.
