Dunno man, going to a bigger bike is a double edged sword. Yea you dont have to rev as high to get going and you have tnos of power at your disposal. But that wears off, and you will want to rev the **** out of your powerful bike and you will be going 120mph before you know it.
Thing i like bout 250's is you can wring the hell out of em and not totally be speeding by time u hit 6th gear.
I had a 250 and a 1200 for awhile. Sold the 250. Missed the ability to totaly beat the crap out of my bike so i went an bout another 250 just last week. Best decison i ever made. I havnt even looked at my 1200 this whole week.

I have SS galfer lines on mine as well. Honestly they only make a diff on the track. I noticed NO diff on the street.
I changed everything in stages to see what yields what effect.
Lines
Fluid
Pads
Lines was the least effect on the street but once done, on the track I could go a full session and not have to click my Pazzo's up a number.
Fluid was done after lines and it gave me a more linear feel and again less total pull required during track sessions
Pads was by far the biggest and best change. I put on Vesrah RJL and they were heads and tails better than EBC HH. AMAZING initial bite and very linear stopping power. I can't rave about these enough. My $0.02 is worth $0.03
