For legs workouts, what should the set numbers be like?
Im trying to get it a bit big and more toned.
Should I do dropsets? or the normal 3xreps?
I do deadlifts, squats and pretty much all the leg machines I can find in the gym. Plus ending the day with either elliptical or rowing machine.

Legs tend to like higher reps. Amount of sets and exercises is up to you.
My first leg day looks like this:
Front Squats 3x3-5
Hack Squats 3x3-5
Glute Ham Raise 2x6-10
Leg Extensions 2x6-10
Calves 6x10-15
My second leg day looks like this
Squats 3x8-12
Hack Squats 3x8-12
Leg Press 3x8-12
RDL 2x8-12
Leg Extensions 2x16-20
Calves 6x15-20
Edit: I forgot to add that you don't need a million exercises for your legs. I see some people do 3 isolations for each muscle group. This is NOT needed for the average gym goer.Last edited by RainingBlood; 07-28-2011 at 10:19 AM.

i do similar workouts on both days.....but one day is power one day is higher reps
squats (back squats, box squats, hack squats, etc)
leg press
leg curls
leg extensions
calf machine (varied)
some days I'll go heavy and squat in triples, and on higher rep days i got light and explode from the bottom of the lift.

Squats - work up to a 5 rep max
RDL's or GM's - 2-4x5-10
Leg Press or Hack Squats 2-4x5-10
Maybe some leg extensions or leg curls for a bigger pump/for fun.https://forum.bodybuilding.com/showthread.php?t=180003183&p=1635918623#post1635918623

"225, 315, 405 whatever. Yeah these benchmark digits come to mean a lot to us, the few warriors in this arena. They are, however, just numbers. I'm guilty of that sh*t too, waiting for somebody to powder my nuts cuz I did 20 reps of whatever the **** on the bench. Big f*king deal. It is all relative." G Diesel
