Love when a player leaves Liverpool. Just last year I remember seeing Liverpool fans being pretty happy with the deal. Classic

Meireles had maybe 8 great games for Liverpool with a few average performances and 10 to 15 poor performances. I did like him though but people seem to only remember how he hit form and played well in the biggest game of the EPL last season when Liverpool travelled to Chelsea and how he came off the bench at Arsenal and had a great impact. He wont be doing much at Chelsea anyways he will be warming the bench like he was with us if he does play then that means another one of the big stars will be sitting out at chelsea which will cause disruption to the club

As far as Ontario its pretty good football. We have cities filled with Italians (Woodbridge), Portuguese (Toronto/Mississauga) and a huge Caribbean population so there is no shortage of players. Also some teams all Croatian and All Serbian teams which are quality squads and tour every where.
The only beef is coaching and development. Not enough good coaches and not enough money in soccer. Hockey is still the way to make it out of the "hood" so to speak, but we have produced quality players like Simeon Jackson and Junior Hoilett over the last few years.Thank Me Later

Joining a rec league near my place, I think it's the same one MercandMuscles (sp?) used to play in. Been doing lots of running and usual practice with a ball lately, inb4 I embarass myself.

Why are indoor football players generally so bad at the normal version of the game? You don't hear about any famous indoor players who made it big outside on the pitch do you?:/

I am a quite average indoor player because im a fast guy with **** control in small places. I am however good at knocking the ball past and beating my opponent to it. I am also very physical and you tend to get called on that **** alot in indoor leagues. Indoor seems to cater to smaller/agile people with good control in tight spaces.

I've never even talked about the Tottenham/Giovani dos santos situation...
Again with this ****? "Mate" i already told you i admire Chicharito for what he has done with what he has(not much), i still think Gio has way more talent than him, most barca fans agree when they said they screwed up for letting him go while keeping Bojan who honestly hasnt done crap in Barca.
Btw he hasnt achieved much, you are right, but he has been known as the best player from Mexico for a while now, being the one who makes the crack-like plays and is mainly to him that we won the Gold cup, winning MOTM lots of times etc.
Chicharito is just a "well, if he gets an opportunity in the box he will most likely do something" player but thats about it. Lets just hope SAF turns him into a world class player.
Btw Gio is better than Lennon, he should start instead of that dude that belongs to 100m dash instead of a football pitch

Chico would never have gotten to where he is if he "didnt have much". People need to get over this ****. If being able to put the ball in the net is not a skill, i dunno what is. Who got dat golden boot at the Gold Cup? Who was on everyone's lips? Wasn't Gio until that chip, lettuce be reality.
Having a solid mentality and being a hard worker is as important as having some talent. Gio has talent, but like his brother he would rather be out hooking in hotels than on the pitch doing his job. Deal with it.Falcons, Seminoles, Red Devils
