    How much fiber are YOU eating a day?

    I eat about 3k cals a day with only 35g a fiber in there. Think I should try to up it a little or am i doing alright? Reason I'm asking is I feel like people on here are eating way more fiber.

    I don't count my fiber but if I'm getting enough whole foods,veggies and fruits in my diet daily and my bowel movement ( dumps the other day ) is fine , I don't worry about the fiber.

    I consumed an avg of 66g fiber this past week (some days as high as 75g), so I am having the opposite worries lol. It might be beneficial to up your fibrous veggie intake to get above forty or so grams

    I eat at least a cup of oats, 1 serving of veggies, and prob 2 of fruit a day and the rest of the carbs are diff every day. I only have one bowel movement a day so I'm thinking I need to change something.

    Probably too much fiber....I don't calculate it but prob around 45-50grams easily.....Def. have to take at least one dump per day.

    At 70+ grams a day I still only have one bowel movement a day, although its always ~20mins after I wake up and one solid (sry if too much info)

    Depending on how much cocoa powder I feel like mowing down on.

    I was eating around 150 grams for about 6 months and ****ed up my GI tract (srs). Now I can't eat more than 10 grams (srs again) a day without my GI getting all inflamed. I hope to get it at least somewhat fixed in the next two months as I have 3 different doctor's appointments (gastroscopy, ultrasound etc.)

    Moral of the story: don't try to be all extremist with fiber as it just may **** up your life (srs for the last time).

    4 cups of oats per day + fruit and veggies I get around 65grams minimum on a 4.3-4.5kcal diet.

    It's not how much total fiber that could cause bowel discomfort or damage like the guy posted above me, it's % of calories/bulk of food that matters...150 grams? wtf. how many calories?
